Tyler Seguin took a slash on the right leg from the Sharks’ Benn Ferriero just before the Bruins’ pulled goalie Tim Thomas tonight and he did not return to the game, but he said he was OK after the game.
Sounds like Seguin will be OK and won't miss any playing time. Through seven games this season he has two goals and eight points. Expect a further update on how the Bruins will handle this injury.

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Sunday that injured forward David Perron will rejoin the team on Monday.
Perron has been held out since early last season following a high hit at the hands of Joe Thornton. Perron sounded poised to break out last season as he scored five goals in his first 10 games. Monitor his performance when he returns but this winger has talent to burn.
The Sabres and defenseman Tyler Myers wrapped up their contract extension talks this morning, with the sides agreeing to a seven-year deal. Financial details were not immediately available.
With an improved supporting cast, Myers should be preparing for a career year. Look for his current average of 11 goals and 43 points to be his absolute floor.
The Blues are expecting to begin their 2011-12 season without David Perron, who's been suffering from post-concussion symptoms since last November when he was hit by San Jose's Joe Thornton.
"No. We made these with the information that we think David is going to be ready for training camp. But we are into July now and (potential injuries during the season), we wanted to have some depth, and I think we’ve created our depth. All indications are that David is doing well and getting better, but he’s not to the point to workout. Until he gets to that point, he’s not in consideration."
Bruins coach Claude Julien just confirmed that Tyler Seguin will be in the lineup tonight and that he had rookie Jordan Caron skate with the team this morning simply as insurance.
