“I take another CAT scan tomorrow morning,” Myers said. “We’ll know a little bit more there, if I can start leaning on my stick a lot more, start engaging in physical play. I think today was its best day.”

Myers was deemed "a ways away" by coach Lindy Ruff at the end of December. Sounds like he continues to take steps in the right direction but probably misses another week or two.

Tyler Myers is also skating with Marc Andre Gragnani. They're skating as the 7th and 8th D-men. Lindy Ruff says Myers won't be ready for Monday's game against Washington. The big defenseman is no longer wearing a splint on his injured wrist, but can't put weight on it or take shots just yet.

Myers is definitely close to returning to the team. The hulking defender last played on November 19th and is on track to return over the next week or two.

Seguin was scratched for disciplinary reasons but expect him to get right back into the lineup. The sophomore has 13 goals and 25 points in 25 games but 11 of those points came in a six-game scoring binge.

Young Avalanche forwards Matt Duchene and Gabriel Landeskog missed practice Sunday but both are expected to play in Monday's game against the Dallas Stars at the Pepsi Center.

Sounds like Duchy is nursing a minor illness and should be fine for tomorrow's game. He currently leads the team in goals with nine and points with 17. Start him with confidence tomorrow.

Myers was a 'surprise' scratch for last night's game. He registered only four assists over 16 games on the season, struggling at both ends of the ice. Stay tuned for a further word on his role.
