Seguin (illness) took part in the Stars morning skate; should play Tuesday.

Seguin was sent home from practice with an illness on Monday, but was on the ice this morning, which is a good sign that he will play tonight vs. the Senators. Seguin has one goal and four assists in his last six games.

Benn (undisclosed) is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game vs. Ottawa.

There is no word on the nature or severity of Benn’s injury, but he was not on the ice for practice on Monday. Monitor his status during Tuesday’s morning skate. Benn has two goals and four assists in his last six games.

Jamie Benn
Seguin is on the ice for the Stars morning skate after missing Monday's practice.

Seguin missed yesterday's practice because he had his wisdom teeth removed on Sunday, but he is back on the ice today and will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Kings. He will centre the top line with Jamie Benn and Valeri Nichushkin on his wings.

Tyler Seguin
Seguin had his wisdom teeth removed on Sunday, took Monday off, should play Tuesday.

The Stars are fully expecting to have their star winger in the lineup on Tuesday vs. the Kings. He is off to a stellar start to the season, recording seven goals (t-4th in NHL) and eight assists (t-15th) for 15 points (t-3rd) in 11 games this season. Monitor his status during Tuesday's morning skate.

Tyler Seguin
Seguin is not feeling well, but should play on Saturday vs. Nashville.

Seguin missed practice on Friday because of an illness, but stated that he should be available for Saturday night. Seguin had no points with one shot in 18:34 in the Stars' 3-2 shootout loss to the Blackhawks on Friday. Expect an update on Saturday morning.

Dumba to start the season on the Wild's top power-play unit.

Dumba, 20, played 13 games with the Wild last season before being sent back to juniors. He has cracked the Wild opening day roster and will play on the third pair with Christian Folin, but will also lineup on the top power-play unit next to Ryan Suter. If he can lock this spot down, he makes for a great pick-up and sleeper candidate. The second-year D-man has a ton of offensive talent, evidenced by his 24 points (8G / 16A) in 26 games with the Portland Winterhawks (WHL) last season.

Matt Dumba
Duchene (knee) will return to the lineup in game 6.

Duchene hasn't played since March 29 because of a knee injury. He missed the final eight games of the regular season and the first five in this best-of-7 series against the Wild, which the Avalanche lead 3-2. Duchene skated on the fourth line with Brad Malone and Maxime Talbot during pregame warmups. It was a different line than he practiced with during the morning skate, when he was between Ryan O'Reilly and PA Parenteau. Duchene led Colorado with 70 points (23 goals, 47 assists) during the regular season.

Matt Duchene
Duchene (knee) will be a game-time decision for Game 6 tonight.

Duchene took part in the Avalanche's morning skate and was on a line with Ryan O'Reilly and P.A Parenteau which suggests that if he plays, he will not be on the fourth line like head coach Patrick Roy had originally indicated. Duchene has not played since March 29th, but is the Avalanche's top offensive threat and definitely boosts their chances at eliminating the Wild tonight if he is in the lineup.

Matt Duchene
Duchene (knee) may return to the Avalanche lineup for Game 6.

The early word from the Avs is that Duchene is likely to return on Monday, but head coach Patrick Roy has not confirmed that. Roy said that if Duchene does play, he will likely play on the fourth line and power-play, but I find that hard to believe. The Avalanche will hit the ice for their morning skate shortly, so we will have word on Duchene's availability soon thereafter.

Matt Duchene
Matt Duchene likely won't play in this first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Wild.

Duchene would add the extra scoring punch that the Avs could desperately use to easily push past the Wild. Instead, look for a Round 2 return from a knee injury at the earliest for the Avs' leading scorer.

Matt Duchene
Duchene (knee) will miss "roughly" four weeks.

Duchene was injured in a collision with his linemate Jamie McGinn on Saturday. This is a tough break for the Avalanche who lose their leading scorer just two weeks before the end of the regular season. Four weeks will have him returning around April 21, which will see him likely miss the majority, if not all of the first-round.

Matt Duchene
Duchene left Saturday's game with a knee injury and will not return.

Duchene suffered the injury when he collided with line-mate Jamie McGinn. Duchene played just 32 seconds before retiring to the dressing room. The Avalanche have had a great season and will make the playoffs, but losing Duchene for an extended period of time would be devastating. We will update his status as soon as something is released.

Petrovic (upper-body) has been placed on injured reserve.

Petrovic who was just recalled lands on IR for the second time this season. He has been recalled on multiple occasions, but injuries have limited him to just seven games with the Panthers. Colby Robak was recalled on Saturday and will replace Petrovic.

Alex Petrovic
The Panthers recalled Alex Petrovic from San Antonio (AHL).

Petrovic had no points in five games with the Panthers earlier this season, but then suffered an upper-body injury which cost him his spot with the big-club. He is back now with Erik Gudbranson out and has recorded two goals and 11 assists (13 points) in 43 games in San Antonio.
