Talbot allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Oilers win in Carolina on Tuesday. Talbot has won five of his last six starts while allowing just 11 goals on 206 shots (.947 SV%). Surprisingly he struggled in his first start against a bad Ottawa team, but should make for a solid start start tonight vs. a banged up Senators squad.

Lyon allowed on goal on 12 shots in the Flyers shootout loss in Detroit after he replaced Petr Mrazek. Lyon has gone 1-1-1 with a 1.90 GAA and .927 SV% in two starts and two relief appearances in March. In his first game against the Rangers, Lyon stopped 25 of 26 shots in a 7-4 win after he replaced Michal Neuvirth.


Tarasenko will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury that he suffered vs. the Rangers on Saturday. Taranseko was not on the ice for the last two days, which clouds his status for the remainder of this all important playoff week.


Tarasenko was supposed to skate on Tuesday but missed the practice session and is now doubtful for Wednesday’s contest. Tarasenko is not dealing with a concussion but an upper-body injury, so keep an eye on him during tomorrow’s game day skate.

Talbot allowed two goals on 42 shots in the Oilers win in Florida on Saturday. Talbot has won four of his last five games while posting a 1.58 GAA and .954 SV% and draws a nice matchup tonight in Carolina. The Hurricanes comes in having lost 11 of their last 15 games entering play on Tuesday.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Flyers win over the Capitals on Sunday. It hasn’t been all gravy for Mrazek since coming over from Detroit. The 26-year-old has gone 5-5-1 with a 3.14 GAA and .888 SV% in 11 games with the Flyers but he’ll have a good shot at a ‘W’ tonight vs. a Red Wings team that has dropped 10 in a row.
