Gibson will start his eighth straight game on Friday.

Gibson allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Ducks loss to the Senators on Wednesday. He has won four of his previous seven starts while posting a 2.71 GAA and .914 SV%. Tonight he is expected to be backed-up by Frederik Andersen, so this will likely be the end of a string of consecutive starts for Gibson. Gibson has gone 2-3-0 with a 2.99 GAA and .899 SV% at home.

Talbot will be between the pipes on Thursday.

Talbot stopped all 21 shots that he faced in the Rangers 1-0 shutout win over the Flames on Tuesday. It was Talbot’s 11th win and fourth shutout of the season. He comes in having won five of his last six games with a 2.59 GAA and .914 SV%. Talbot makes for an excellent start against the Coyotes.

Kane is expected to miss 12 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a broken left clavicle.

This is even longer than the original reports, but with the playoffs starting in seven weeks, Kane’s season appears to be over. This is a terrible break for a player who was trying to become the first American born player to win the scoring title. This will put a lot of weight Kris Versteeg and Patrick Sharp to put the puck in the net.

Patrick Kane
Gibson will start Wednesday vs. the Senators.

Gibson allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Ducks shootout win over the Red Wings on Monday. With Frederik Andersen still not quite ready, Gibson will go for his fourth-straight win. He has not faced the Senators this season, but has gone 4-2-0 with a 3.02 GAA and .903 SV% since being recalled.

The Blackhawks have placed Patrick Kane (upper-body) on long-term IR.

Kane suffered a “significant” upper-body injury in Tuesday’s game against the Panthers. There has been no official word on exactly how long he will be sidelined, but his movement to LTIR means that he will miss a minimum of 10 games or 24 days. He is expected to be sidelined for longer than that, but we will wait for the official timeline from the team.

Patrick Kane
Kane is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury.

Kane crashed shoulder first into the boards after being pushed from behind by Panthers defenseman Alex Petrovic. Kane immediately left the ice and did not return. There is speculation that Kane could miss more than a month with a clavicle injury, but the Blackhawks have not released an official injury update. Kane was tied for the league lead in points and is irreplaceable. However, a if he misses significant time, Patrick Sharp will be leaned on more heavily to produce offensively.

Talbot leads the Rangers onto the ice for warmups.

Talbot allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Rangers win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. He has won five of his last six starts while posting a 3.24 GAA and .899 SV%. He will face the Flames at Madison Square Garden, where he is 4-0-3 with a 1.87 GAA and .929 SV%.

Cam Talbot
Gibson will start Monday vs. the Red Wings.

Gibson made 26 saves on 27 shots in the Ducks 2-1 win over the Oilers on Saturday. With Frederik Andersen still not ready, the Ducks will go with Gibson tonight. Since being recalled he has gone 3-2-0 with a 3.07 GAA and .899 SV%. He would face a Red Wings team who are 4-2-1 while averaging 3.00 goals per game in February.

John Gibson
Gibson is probable to start vs. the Red Wings.

The Ducks recalled Jason LaBarbera this morning, which suggests that Frederik Andersen is not ready and Gibson will go tonight. He made 26 saves on 27 shots in the Ducks 2-1 win over the Oilers on Saturday. Since being recalled he has gone 3-2-0 with a 3.07 GAA and .899 SV%. He would face a Red Wings team who are 4-2-1 while averaging 3.00 goals per game in February.

John Gibson
Talbot will be back in goal for the Rangers.

Talbot allowed four goals on 28 shots in the Jets loss to the Canucks on Thursday. He was given Friday night off, but will be back between the pipes tonight vs. Columbus. Talbot has gone 5-1-2 with a 3.10 GAA and .895 SV% in eight starts in February. He allowed four goals in a 5-2 loss in his first start vs. Columbus.

John Gibson
Gibson gets the nod vs. the Lightning.

Gibson gave up five goals on 28 shots in the Ducks 5-3 loss to the Capitals on Sunday. Despite the rough outing, Frederik Andersen is not quite ready, so Gibson will make his third consecutive start. He will take on a Lightning team who has gone 3-3-2 while averaging 3.13 goals per game in February.

John Gibson
Talbot makes his eighth consecutive start on Thursday.

Talbot gave up five goals on 43 shots in the Rangers 6-5 win over the Islanders on Monday. Since Henrik Lundqvist went down, Talbot has gone 5-1-1 but he can thank an offence who has averaged 4.14 goals over that span. His 3.01 GAA and .900 SV% are not pretty numbers, but with the offence support he is getting, he is a good candidate to get his 10th win of the season tonight vs. Vancouver.

Cam Talbot
Talbot starts Monday on Long Island.

Talbot stopped 34 of 35 shots in the Rangers 5-1 win over the Coyotes on Saturday. He has won each of his last three starts while posting a 2.67 GAA and .918 SV%. He draws a tough matchup against the Islanders—Talbot has gone 5-5-0 with a 2.93 GAA and .903 SV% on the road this season.
