Mrazek will start Friday in Carolina.

Mrazek allowed one goal on 31 shots in the Red Wings shootout win over the Sharks on Wednesday. Mrazek has been excellent in his last five outings, going 3-1-0 while allowing just five goals on 144 shots (.965 SV%) and two shutouts. He will look to stay hot tonight vs. a Hurricanes team that shutout the Montreal Canadiens last night.

Lyon is expected to make his first NHL start on Thursday.

Lyon turned aside all five shots that he faced in relief of Michal Neuvirth in his NHL debut last night. Neuvirth reportedly did not feel well during the game, so look for Lyon to get his first career start tonight in New Jersey. The 25-year-old is a bit of an unknown and is the fourth goalie on the Flyers depth chart but with injuries he’ll get his shot—he was 13-8-2 with a 2.90 GAA and .910 SV% in Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Mrazek will start Wednesday vs. the Sharks.

Mrazek stopped 17 of 18 shots after replacing Jimmy Howard in the Red Wings loss to the Blackhawks last Thursday. Mrazek has played extremely well recently, stopping 109 of the last 113 shots (.965 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he will take on a Sharks team that has lost three straight and will be without Joe Thornton for the third consecutive game.

The Flyers have recalled Alex Lyon from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Lyon has gone 13-8-2 with a 2.90 GAA and .910 SV% in 24 games with the Phantoms this season. With Brian Elliott (lower-body) landing on IR on Tuesday, Lyon was recalled to serve as the Flyers’ No.2 goaltender behind Michal Neuvirth.

Talbot will start Thursday vs. the Flames.

Talbot allowed four goals on 22 shots in the Oilers loss to the Sabres on Tuesday. Talbot has struggled to a 3.15 GAA and .901 SV% in 38 appearances this season as he continues to be one of the biggest fantasy disappointments. He posted a 27-save shutout in his first start vs. the Flames but he is a risky option on a busy 15-game night across the NHL.

Mrazek will start Tuesday vs. the Flyers.

Mrazek stopped all 37 shots that he faced in the Red Wings shutout win in New Jersey last night. Mrazek will start for the second straight night and comes in with shutouts in his lat two games—he has stopped the 64 shots he has faced. Mrazek has been up and down this season and doesn’t make for a safe option with a hot Flyers team in town.

Talbot will start Tuesday vs. the Sabres.

Talbot allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Oilers win over the Canucks on Saturday. Talbot has now won his last two starts while stopping 59 of 63 shots (.937 SV%). Talbot will look to get on a roll and drag the Oilers back into playoff contention and he draws a great matchup tonight vs. the Sabres. Buffalo is an ugly 6-14-6 on the road this season.

Mrazek will start Monday in New Jersey.

Mrazek stopped all 27 shots that he faced in the Red Wings’ 4-0 shutout win over the Blackhawks on January 14th. Despite the shutout, Jimmy Howard started the next two games (both losses). He faced the Devils earlier this season, but didn’t finish the game—he allowed three goals on 24 shots in what ended up being a 4-3 OT loss.

The Blue Jackets have recalled Tyler Motte from Cleveland (AHL).

Motte has scored three goals and one assist in 29 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has picked up eight points (6G / 2A) in nine games with Cleveland and will likely play on Thursday after it was announced Sonny Milano will miss 4-6 weeks.
