Talbot will start in goal for the Rangers.

Henrik Lundqvist is ill so Talbot will get the nod vs. the Islanders. Talbot stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 4-1 win over the Senators on Saturday. The win moved Talbot to 10-3-0 with a 1.62 GAA and .940 SV% on the season. He has become one of fantasy's best spot-start options this season and should be considered for a start again tonight. He stopped 22 shots in a 3-2 win over the Isles back on October 29.

Tarasenko is questionable tonight because of the flu.

The Blues are in Detroit tonight, but they may be without Tarasenko who is currently fighting the flu. Tarasenko hasn't scored in his last four games but has totalled 15 goals and 14 assists (29 points) in 47 games this season. Adam Cracknell will draw into the lineup if Tarasenko can't play.

Talbot has not started since January 4 when he stopped 24 of 25 shots in a win over the Maple Leafs. He has had a great year so far, but Henrik Lundqvist has turned things around lately which will limit Talbot's value going forward. On Saturday he will take on the Senators in Ottawa. He is 6-2-0 with a 1.55 GAA and .941 SV% on the road.

Mrazek stopped all three shots he faced after replacing Jimmy Howard in the third period on Thursday. In his last start he gave up three goals on 19 shots in a 3-0 loss to the Islanders on December 23. Overall he is 1-2-0 with a 1.74 GAA and .914 SV% in three starts and five appearances. He draws a tough assignment tonight against the NHL's best Anaheim Ducks (34-8-5).

After getting three straight starts, he sat for three straight games, but will be back in net tonight in the second game of a back-to-back. Talbot stopped 24 of 25 shots in a 4-1 win over the Wild on Sunday. Despite his starts being limited because of the presence of Henrik Lundqvist, Talbot remains a great option when he gets the nod. He is 7-2-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .936 SV% to start his NHL career.

In Mrazek's only NHL start this season, he stopped al 14 shots that he faced in a 5-0 shutout win over the Oilers. He has been stellar in the AHL going 10-2-1 with a 2.09 GAA and .927 SV% in 13 starts. The 21-year-old will face a Lightning team who just beat the Red Wings in a shootout on Thursday, but are coming off of a 3-0 defeat last night.

Jeff Petry (head) is good to go for tonight vs. Boston after receiving medical clearance, consisting of both physical and mental tests.

Petry missed Tuesday's game with a head injury. He will return to the lineup tonight on the Oilers third pair with Anton Belov. He has two goals and four assists with a minus-10 rating in 30 games.

The Red Wings have recalled Petr Mrazek from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Mrazek will serve as Jonas Gustavsson's backup tomorrow in Tampa Bay after Jimmy Howard was injured in practice this morning. Mrzaek posted a 14-save shutout in his only NHL start this season. He is 10-2-1 with 2.09 GAA and .927 SV% in the AHL.

He will be paired with Martin Marincin.
