Mrazek gave up three goals on 18 shots in the Hurricanes loss to the Rangers last Thursday. Mrazek has lost two straight while allowing a combined seven goals on just 46 shots (.848 SV%). He is 6-1-0 with a 2.12 GAA, .916 SV% and one shutout at the PNC Arena.

The Sharks haver recalled Radim Simek from his conditioning assignment with San Jose (AHL).

Simek underwent knee surgery in March and was assigned to the Barracuda for a conditioning stint last Monday. The 27-year-old blueliner had two assists in two AHL games and his return to the Sharks suggests that he will make his season debut on Tuesday (vs. CHI) or Thursday (vs. MIN).

Tarasenko will undergo surgery on his left shoulder on Tuesday and will be re-evaluated in five months.

Tarasenko left last Thursday’s game vs. Los Angels with an injury that we now know will require surgery. This is a devastating blow for the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Tarasenko has missed just 15 games over the last five years but will be out until at least late-March, effectively ending his 2019-20 campaign. The in-house replacement for Tarasenko appears to be Robert Thomas for now but with Tarasenko heading to LTIR, don’t be surprised if the Blues make a move for a winger.
