Markstrom will start Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Markstrom allowed four goals on 29 shots in the Canucks’ loss to Vegas on Thursday. Anders Nilsson has started two of the last three games, but Markstrom will start the front-end of their Tuesday-Wednesday back-to-back tonight in Philadelphia. The NHL has suspended Matthew Tkachuk for one game—won’t play Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia.

Tkachuk has been suspended for one game for his role in Wednesday’s brawl in Detroit. Tkachuk slashed Luke Witkowski as he left the ice following a fight, which sparked a full blown brawl. With Tkachuk out, Matt Stajan will likely draw into the lineup on Saturday.

Markstrom will start Thursday vs. the Golden Knights.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Canucks loss in San Jose last Saturday. Anders Nilsson started and got the win on Tuesday, but they’ll still go back to Markstrom tonight vs. Vegas. The Golden Knights have struggled on the road this season, making Markstrom one of the better options on tonight’s big slate.

Marchand (undisclosed) will not travel with the team to Anaheim on Monday.

Just because Marchand didn’t initially travel to Anaheim doesn’t mean he won’t play on Tuesday but it makes it very unlikely. Marchand hasn’t officially been ruled out vs. the Ducks, but it seems doubtful that he will play in either of the next two games (Tuesday/Wednesday) and could very well miss the entire road-trip.

Brad Marchand
Marchand (upper-body) will return to the Bruins lineup on Friday.

Marchand has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but will return tonight in Toronto. Marchand will be back on the top line with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak and comes into play with eight goals and six assists (14 points) in 12 games this season.

Markstrom will start Thursday in Anaheim.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Canucks win in Calgary on Tuesday. Markstrom has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.27 GAA and .928 SV% in four November starts and heads into Anaheim at 3-0-0 with a 2.10 GAA and .914 SV% on the road so far this season. He makes for a decent start against a banged up Anaheim team.

Markstrom will start Monday vs. the Red Wings.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Canucks’ win over the Penguins on Saturday. Markstrom has won three of his last five starts (3-1-1) while allowing just eight goals on 136 shots (.941 SV%). One of those starts came against the Red Wings, who he’ll face tonight—he stopped 20 of 21 shots in a 4-1 win in Detroit two Sunday’s ago.

Markstrom will start Saturday vs. the Penguins.

Markstrom allowed one goal on 25 shots in the Canucks’ loss to New Jersey on Wednesday. Markstrom has lost his last two starts despite allowing just three goals on 54 shots (.944 SV%). Tonight he will make his 10th start of the season and seventh on home-ice, where he is 1-3-2 with a 2.47 GAA and .915 SV% this season.

Gudas (upper body) will not play on Thursday.

Gudas exited Wednesday’s game after being hit by Brandon Saad and will not be in the lineup tonight in St. Louis. With Gudas out, the Flyers will dig deeper into the D-man pool, bringing Will O’Neill in to make his NHL debut. Consider Gudas as questionable for Saturday’s game.

Radko Gudas
Gudas left Wednesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Gudas left yesterday’s game in the first period after being hit by Blackhawks’ forward Brandon Saad. This is another big blow to the Flyers’ blueline that is already without Shayne Gostisbehere, Andrew MacDonald and Samuel Morin. Consider Gudas as doubtful for Thursday's game in St. Louis.

Markstrom will start Wednesday vs. the Devils.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Canucks overtime loss to the Stars on Monday. It was a tough luck loss for Markstrom who has now allowed just seven goals on the last 90 shots that he has faced (.922 SV%). Tonight he faces a Devils team that is third in the NHL in scoring so far (3.80 GF/PG).

Markstrom will start Monday vs. the Stars.

Markstrom allowed one goal on 21 shots in the Canucks’ win in Detroit last Sunday. Anders Nilsson started both games last week, but they’ll come back to Markstrom tonight vs. the visiting Stars. Markstrom has won his last two starts while stopping 40 of 43 shots (.930 SV%). Dallas comes into the game averaging 2.91 goals for per game (20th in the NHL).
