Barkov (upper-body) will not play Saturday vs. the Avalanche.

Barkov suffered the injury midway through Thursday’s win over the Jets but it sounds like a minor injury that will only cost him a game or two. After tonight the Panthers travel to Detroit for a meeting with the Red Wings on Monday, so monitor Barkov’s status during their morning skate in a few days.

Barkov is day-to-day with an upper-body; doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Avalanche.

Barkov picked up one assist in 12:12 TOI before leaving last night’s win over the Jets with an upper-body injury. Barkov has been all but ruled out of Saturday’s game but the Panthers are hopeful that he will play Monday vs. the Red Wings. Their optimism suggests that the injury is very minor so it looks like Barkov owners have dodged a bullet.

The Ducks are expected to recall Jaycob Megna from San Diego (AHL) prior to Tuesday's game.

Megna, 24, has one assist in 11 games with the Ducks this season and one assist in three games with San Diego. Megna has been recalled because Hampus Lindholm is questionable for tonight’s game due to an upper-body injury.

Bobrovsky will start Saturday in Washington.

Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Blue Jackets loss in Montreal on Monday. With two back-to-backs this week, Joonas Korpisalo has started the last two contests, so Bobrovsky will obviously start tonight in Washington. Bobrovsky wrapped up November at 7-3-1 with a 1.88 GAA, .936 SV% and two shutouts. He’s one of the top netminders in the NHL and is a must-start whenever he gets the nod.

The Blackhawks have recalled J-F Berube from Rockford (AHL).

Corey Crawford was placed on IR on Friday afternoon, so Berube has been recalled to serve as the Blackhawks’ No.2 behind Anton Forsberg. Chicago has a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday, so Berube, who is 6-6-0 with a 2.54 GAA and .913 SV% in 12 AHL starts could make his Blackhawks debut this weekend.

Jean-Francois Berube
Marchand (undisclosed) will return to the Bruins lineup on Wednesday.

Marchand missed the last six games with an undisclosed injury but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Lightning. Marchand will be reunited with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak on the top line and comes into play with 15 points (8G / 7A) in 14 games this season.

Puljujarvi is expected to be a healthy scratch on Sunday.

Puljujarvi has two assists in eight games since being recalled from Bakersfield (AHL) but it looks like he will be scratched tonight in Boston. This seems like a strange decision since the Oilers are looking for offence on the wings and Puljujarvi is one of their most promising wing prospects.

Bobrovsky will start Wednesday vs. the Flames.

Bobrovsky stopped 30 of 32 shots in the Blue Jackets win in Buffalo on Monday. The win extended Bobrovsky’s winning streak to four and gives him a league leading .933 SV% through 17 games. Tonight he takes on the Flames on home ice, where he is 6-3-0 with a 1.66 GAA and.946 SV% this season.
