Tarasov will start Friday in Chicago.

Tarasov allowed four goals on 38 shots (.895 SV%) as he picked up his fourth straight loss in a defeat to Philadelphia in his previous game. The 23-year-old has been leaned on heavily lately and played well despite what his 2-7-1 record may show, as he has a .913 SV% and 3.13 GAA. He will hope for better fortunes against the Chicago Blackhawks, who have lost their last eight games and are last in the NHL in goals per game with 2.26.

Bobrovsky will start Friday against the Islanders.

Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 32 shots (.906 SV%) for his third loss in five starts as he was defeated by the New Jersey Devils. Bobrovsky has been improving his play as of late but his numbers are still reflective of his early struggles, with his 7-10-1 record, 3.25 GAA and .895 SV%. He will take on the New York Islanders, who are stumbling, having lost five of their last six games with a 5-3 defeat to the Rangers Thursday.

Aleksander Barkov is day-to-day and will miss Wednesday's game (lower body).

Barkov is not expected back to the Panthers' lineup until after Christmas as he deals with a lower-body injury. Barkov has six goals, 16 assists, 82 SOG and a +5 plus/minus through 25 games played but will miss Wednesday's game vs. Boston. Barkov missed 15 games last season due to injury and will be hoping that he is only day-to-day with this recent development.

Aleksander Barkov
Anton Lundell will return to the Panthers' lineup Wednesday vs. New Jersey (upper body).

Lundell has not played since Dec. 1st due to an upper-body injury and illness and it seemed as though he was close to returning last week, but will officially return Tuesday vs. New Jersey. The 21-year-old has four goals, 13 points, 56 SOG and a +9 plus/minus in 24 games prior to missing time.

Tarasov starts Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Tarasov allowed only one goal on 33 shots (.970 SV%) but still managed to pick up his fourth straight loss in a hard-fought defeat to the Dallas Stars in his last start. Tarasov allowed four goals on 39 shots (.897 SV%) to pick up his third straight loss in a defeat to the league leading Boston Bruins in his last start. He will face the Dallas Stars, who are coming off a 5-4 overtime loss but are fourth in the NHL in goals per game (3.63).

Matthew Tkachuk will be out of the Panthers' lineup Thursday (illness).

Tkachuk has 14 goals, 25 assists, 107 SOG, 45 PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 28 games to start his Florida Panthers' tenure so if he is forced to miss anytime due to illness it will be a massive loss for Florida. He will be a game-time decision and should know by warmups if he is good to go for their game vs. Pittsburgh.

Matthew Tkachuk
Carter Verhaeghe will play Thursday after being a game-time decision (illness).

Verhaeghe missed Tuesday's contest due to an undisclosed injury and is expected to return to the Panthers' lineup Thursday after feeling better during practice. The 27-year-old will be a welcome addition back as he leads the Panthers in goals (15) and has 24 points in 29 games played.

Tarasov will start Thursday in Tampa.

Tarasov last took the crease for Columbus on Nov. 28, allowing two goals on 36 shots (.944 SV%) as he, unfortunately, took the overtime loss to Vegas.
