Fiala was a surprise scratch from Wednesday's lineup due to a lower-body injury but he was on the ice for the morning skate and will be a game-time decision on Friday. Fiala has been red-hot since late March, scoring 11 goals with 14 assists (25 points) in his last 19 games.









Byfield was the No.2 overall pick in this year's draft and he's set to make his NHL debut on Wednesday. Byfield, who is expected to centre the third line, scored eight goals with 12 assists (20 points) in 30 AHL games in 2021.



Edler missed the last two games after being suspended for a kneeing incident on Zach Hyman last Sunday. Edler will replace Jalen Chatfield in the lineup.





Edler was handed a five-minute major and game misconduct for kneeing Hyman on Sunday night. Hyman did not return to the game and Edler will miss the next two games due to suspension. This is a huge blow for a Canucks team that is already very shorthanded on the blueline.
