Stastney returned to the Predators lineup on Wednesday but abruptly exited the contest after playing 13:27 time-on-ice due to an upper-body injury. Stastney spent an early portion of the season with the Predators but has spent most of the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL. In 44 games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL), he has 20 points (5G / 15A).

The Sharks will return to Chrona between the pipes on the front end of a back-to-back on Saturday, his fifth straight start. The 23-year-old Chrona has struggled in his first NHL season, allowing four or more goals in four of seven appearances (1-4-1), posting a miserable .872 SV%. The Sharks will visit a Columbus Blue Jackets team riding a three-game losing skid.

With the recent departure of Kaapo Kahkonen in a trade to the New Jersey Devils, Chrona has started the last three games for the Sharks and will return to the crease on Thursday. In his last four games, Chrona allowed seven goals once but has been serviceable otherwise, keeping the opposition to three or fewer goals in the other three contests (1-2-1). That said, the Sharks are sizeable +267 road underdogs despite facing a Pittsburgh Penguins club that has been abysmal lately, being outscored 17-2 during a four-game losing skid.

The Predators will hand Saros the start for a league-leading 53rd time this season when they travel to Winnipeg to take on the Jets on Wednesday. Nashville's workhorse took the loss his last time out, allowing four goals on 33 shots in a 4-3 overtime defeat at the hands of the Wild. Despite the loss, Saros was able to earn his team a point for the ninth consecutive game. He could have a hard time keeping that streak alive on Wednesday, however, with the Predators being +130 underdogs in Winnipeg.

Bunting is in the first year of a three-year deal that carries a $4.5M AAV cap-hit. He gets reunited with his former GM Kyle Dubas, who moved from Toronto to Pittsburgh in the offseason. Bunting picked up 13 goals and 23 assists (36 points) in 60 games with the Hurricanes this season. He could be a candidate to skate with Sidney Crosby, now that Guentzel is out of town, which would be a huge fantasy boost for the 28-year-old winger.

Saros will be right back between the pipes for the Predators on Thursday after seeing his personal six-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday. Saros allowed four goals on 30 shots as the Predators fell to the Canadiens 4-3 in overtime. After a shaky start to the season, Saros' recent run of form has seen his record improve to 26-21-3 on the year to go along with a respectable .907 SV%. He's got a great chance of getting back in the win column on Thursday as the Predators are -165 favourites over the Sabres.

Bunting is in the first year of a three-year contract and has a 10-team no-trade list but will still be held out of Carolina's lineup on Thursday for trade-related reasons. The 28-year-old scrappy left-winger has enjoyed a mediocre first season in Carolina, with 13 goals, 36 points, 113 SOG, 55 PIMs and a -15 plus/minus through 60 games played.
