Hamilton (lower-body) is questionable for Saturday’s game in Winnipeg.

Hamilton and Michael Stone are battling injuries on the Flames’ blueline and had coach Glen Gulutzan said he hopes one of them “will play tomorrow” and the other “will play soon.” There is no word which one is closer, but expect an update after the team’s morning skate on Saturday.

Allen will start Friday vs. the Ducks.

Allen allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Blues’ win in Minnesota on Tuesday. Allen has won two in a row while stopping 59 of 60 shots (.983 SV%). The 26-year-old has gone 14-8-2 while posting a 2.46 GAA and .908 SV% on home ice this season. Tonight he will take on a Ducks team that has won three of their last four.

Hamilton left Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

There is no word on what is ailing the young defenseman but assistant coach Martin Gelinas said that Hamilton should be back “sooner rather than later” during a postgame interview. The Flames are red-hot and losing Hamilton for any period of time would be a big blow to their blueline.

The win snapped a four-game losing streak for Allen and tonight he will make his fifth appearance against the Wild—he is 2-1-0 with a 2.08 GAA and .911 SV% in three starts and one relief appearance vs. Minnesota.

Allen allowed three goals on 41 shots in the Blues’ loss in Chicago on Sunday. Allen is on a three-game losing streak while posting a 2.71 GAA and .922 SV%. He will face the Oilers for the first time since October—he stopped 20 of 22 shots in a 3-1 loss in Edmonton in their first meeting.

Markstrom (lower-body) did not practice on Monday; won't be available on Tuesday.

Markstrom was reportedly injured during the Canucks’ skills competition, which adds insult to injury. With Ryan Miller’s future with the Canucks uncertain, Vancouver’s goaltending situation is cloudy at the moment. Richard Bachman has been called up and should serve as Miller’s backup on Tuesday, unless Miller is dealt.

Allen allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Blues’ loss in Buffalo Saturday. The loss snapped his four-game winning streak, so he’ll look to start another one in his 43rd start of the season. The 26-year-old has gone 14-6-2 with a 2.50 GAA and .905 SV% in 23 starts on home-ice this season.

Allen allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Blues’ win over the Canucks on Thursday. Allen has won four consecutive games while posting a 1.50 GAA, .947 SV% and one shutout. In his first start vs.the Sabres this season, he stopped 23 of 24 shots in a 4-1 win back in mid-November.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Canucks’ win in Buffalo on Sunday. Ryan Miller started on Tuesday, but Markstrom will be between the pipes in St. Louis. Markstrom has won two of his last three while stopping 85 of 92 shots (.924 SV%). He also stopped 23 of 24 shots in a 2-1 OT win in his first start against the Blues this season.

Allen allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Blues’ win in Montreal on Saturday. Carter Hutton shutout the Red Wings last night, but Allen will start Game No.2 of the back-to-back tonight vs. the Canucks. Allen has won three in a row and four of his last five while posting an impressive 1.40 GAA, .953 SV% and one shutout.

Ryan Miller started the last two games, including last night, so Markstrom is expected to start vs. Miller’s former team tonight. In his first start against the Sabres, Markstrom turned away 26 of 27 shots in a 2-1 win back in October.
