Mantha passed the concussion test and was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Mantha is also dealing with fractured ribs and a punctured lung, so he's still going to be sidelined for about one more week. Mantha hopes to be back before February 15th.

Rittich allowed six goals on 28 shots in the Flames loss to the Oilers. He was pulled and then reinserted after Cam Talbot was tossed for fighting but the end result was Rittich's worst outing of the season. He'll look to get back in the win column against the Sharks, who have lost five of their last six while scoring just 1.67 goals per game.

Hischier required stitches in his knee midway through Saturday's game vs. the Stars and will not play tonight vs. Montreal. The good news is that the issue likely won't keep Hischier sidelined for very long but he'll miss at least one game. Jack Hughes moves up to the top-line and Joey Anderson makes his season debut with Hischier out.

Rittich stopped 31 of 34 shots in the Flames shootout win in Edmonton on Wednesday. He'll get the nod again tonight in another instalment of the Battle of Alberta. He's 9-4-3 with a 2.74 GAA and .909 SV% on home-ice this year and is 2-0 while stopping 59 of 63 shots (.937 SV%) in two games against the Oilers this year.

Allen was good enough to earn the win but Thatcher Demko was light's out at the other end, moving Allen to 6-3-3 with a 2.30 GAA and .926 SV% on the road this season. Tonight will be his third start of the season vs. Edmonton, he is 2-0-0 while stopping 67 of 70 shots (.957 SV%) in the first two meetings.

Rittich has gone 3-2-1 with a 2.04 GAA and .928 SV% in six career starts against their Alberta rivals.

With Jeff Skinner returning from an upper-body injury on Tuesday, Rodrigues will be scratched for the sixth time in 10 games. It's been a disastrous season for the 26-year-old, who has just two goals and three assists (five points) in 28 games.

Mantha, who has been out since December 21st, will be sidelined until at least late February. Head coach Jeff Blashill did not rule out the possibility of Mantha missing the rest of the regular season, especially when you consider that the Red Wings season is effectively over.

Rittich allowed one goal on 36 shots in the Flames shootout win in Toronto on Thursday. Rittich has been terrific in his last two outings, stopping 70 of the 73 shots (.959 SV%) that he has faced. He stopped 26 of 27 shots in a winning effort in his first start vs. Ottawa and is 10-7-2 with a 2.73 GAA and .918 SV% on the road this year.

Hamilton was injured late in the second period on Thursday. Hamilton and Kevin Stenlund were chasing after the puck when they had their legs tangle, Hamilton falling backward and bending his left leg under him. Hamilton will undergo further evaluation before they decide on potential surgery. Jordan Staal suffered a similar injury in a preseason exhibition game in September 2014 against the Buffalo Sabres. Staal underwent surgery to repair a broken fibula and had an estimated recovery time of three to four months.

Hamilton suffered an ugly-looking leg injury during Thursday's loss in Columbus. He was tangled up with Kevin Stenlund and went down very awkwardly. Hamilton had to be helped off of the ice and when head coach Rod Brind'Amour addressed the media post-game, he said that "it doesn't look good, obviously." It looks like the Hurricanes could be without their All-Star defenseman long-term but expect an update in the next 24 hours.

Hughes was forced to leave Tuesday's game in Toronto with an illness but was back on the ice for Thursday's morning skate and will play in Washington. Hughes comes in with five points (2G / 3A) in his last nine games.

Rittich stopped 35 of 37 shots in the Flames 2-0 loss in Montreal on Monday. It was a strong outing for Rittich, who was starting to lose his grip on the No.1 gig in recent weeks. He’s been solid on the road, posting a 2.83 GAA and .915 SV% but draws a brutal matchup in Toronto, where the Maple Leafs have scored 4.75 goals per game in their last eight home games.

Rittich surrendered four goals on 34 shots in the Flames win in Minnesota on January 5th. Cam Talbot has started the last three games, so they'll get Rittich a game tonight so he doesn't sit too long. The 27-year-old is 9-6-2 with a 2.87 GAA, .913 SV% and one shutout on the road and gets set to face a Montreal team that has lost five in a row while scoring just 1.60 goals per game on home ice.

Allen gave up five goals on 33 shots in the Blues loss in Vegas on January 4th. It was a rare bad outing for Allen, who draws a great matchup on Monday. Allen has started just two home games this season, allowing a combined five goals on 60 goals (.917 SV%). In comes the Ducks, who are 2-9-2 while scoring just 2.38 goals per game in their last 13 road games.
