Markstrom will return to Vancouver to be evaluated; expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Markstrom was hurt in the Boston game on Saturday and underwent an MRI on Monday morning. He'll return to Vancouver to be re-evaluated and the Canucks will likely return a more detailed timetable after that. With Markstrom out, Thatcher Demko will serve as the Canucks' No.1 netminder and they made a trade for Louis Domingue today to give them a No.2 netminder.

Pesce (upper-body) is expected to be out for "a long time."

Pesce was hurt midway through Saturday's win over the Maple Leafs and did not return. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour did not have a good update on the 25-year-old defenseman, leaving them without two of their top-4 defenseman for an extended period of time. With the trade deadline on Monday, this injury could change how the Hurricanes operate in the next 24 hours.

Markstrom will start Wednesday vs. the Blackhawks.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Canucks win over the Predators on Monday. It was a terrific performance that snapped a three-game losing streak for Markstrom. He comes in at 1-1-0 while surrendering eight goals on 68 shots (.882 SV%) in two games vs. the Blackhawks this season.

Allen will start Tuesday in Anaheim.

Allen allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Blues loss in Edmonton on January 31st. Jordan Binnington has started the last four games but Allen will make his 17th start tonight in Anaheim. Allen was 1-2-1 with a 2.47 GAA and .908 SV% in January, which including a 20-save performance in a 4-1 win over the Ducks, who he'll face again tonight.

The Wild have acquired Calen Addison, Alex Galchenyuk and a 2020 first-round pick from the Penguins for Jason Zucker.

Addison was a second-round pick (No.53 overall) in 2018 and has had a terrific season with the Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL). The 19-year-old has scored 10 goals with 33 assists (43 points) in 39 WHL games and will likely report to Iowa (AHL) once his season is over.

Markstrom will start Monday vs. the Predators.

Markstrom allowed five goals on 31 shots in the Canucks loss to the Flames on Saturday. Markstrom has been excellent through most of the season but has struggled recently. He is on a three-game losing streak while allowing a combined 13 goals on 110 shots (.882 SV%). Tonight he'll try to get back on track vs. the Predators--he stopped 45 of 48 shots in a 6-3 win in his first start vs. Nashville (Nov.21).
