Varlamov will start Saturday vs. Flames.

Varlamov allowed four goals on 33 shots in Colorado’s loss to Chicago on Thursday. After a 7-1-0 start to December, Varlamov finished out the month with three consecutive losses while posting a 3.86 GAA and .870 SV%.Varlamov has been wildly inconsistent this season and has become very difficult to trust on a nightly basis.

Schneider stopped all 36 shots that he faced in the Devils’ shutout win in Ottawa on Wednesday. It was a great effort from Schneider, who wrapped up 2015 ranked sixth in the NHL in Wins (16), seventh in SV% (.927) and 10th in GAA (2.10). He has been one of the better fantasy options through three months of the season, but will be a risky starter tonight with Dallas in town.

After winning six straight, Varalmov has now lost his last two games, while giving up a combined eight goals on 49 shots (.837 SV%). Tonight he will look to close out 2015 with a win, but it won’t come easy with the Blackhawks in town. Varlamov posted a 29-save shutout in his first start vs. Chicago (Dec. 15).

Schneider allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Devils loss in Carolina on Saturday. Schneider has dropped three of his last four starts while posting a 2.71 GAA and .906 SV%. Tonight Schneider will start in Ottawa, he has gone 9-4-2 with a 2.17 GAA and .930 SV% on the road and the Senators are 10-4-4 at home.

Varlamov gave up six goals on 21 shots in Colorado’s loss to the Maple Leafs on Monday. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Varlamov, who should continue to get a tonne of playing time with Reto Berra sidelined. Varlamov has gone 7-2-0 wit ha 1.66 GAA and .948 SV% in December and tonight he will face the Coyotes for the second time this season.

Schneider will start Tuesday in New Jersey.

Schneider made 38 saves on 39 shot attempts in the Devils’ 2-1 shootout loss in Boston on Sunday. The extra time defeat moved Schneider to an even 3-3-3 with a 2.29 GAA and .923 SV% in the month of December. Tonight he will make his second start of the season vs. Detroit. He won the first in come-from-behind overtime fashion in New Jersey—tonight will be in Detroit. Schneider is 8-3-2 with a 2/04 GAA and .936 SV% on the road.

Varlamov stopped 39 of 40 shots in Colorado’s win over the Oilers on Saturday. Varlamov has won six straight starts while posting an impressive 0.99 GAA, .970 SV% and one shutout. The 27-year-old has turned things around in a big way, leading all NHL goalies with seven wins in December. Tonight he will go for a career-high seven-game winning steak against the 11-13-7 Maple Leafs.

Schneider allowed four goals on 25 shots in the Devils loss to the Panthers on Thursday. Keith Kinkaid started on Saturday, but it will be Schneider tonight in Boston. Schneider has gone 3-3-2 with a 2.48 GAA and .914 SV% in December, but he has played well (8-3-1) on the road this season.

Another fantastic outing for the 27-year-old, who looks like a totally different goalie than he did in the first two months of the season. December comes into play on Thursday with a 5-1-0 record, 1.16 GAA and .964 SV% in December.

Varlamov has won three straight contests while posting a 1.31 GAA and .960 SV%—he comes in at 4-1-0 in December, but tonight he will face a Blackhawks team that has won four of five while averaging 2.80 goals per game.

Schneider was pulled after allowing three goals on 18 shots in the Devils loss in Brooklyn on Sunday. Schneider has gone 2-2-2 with a 2.65 GAA and .912 SV% in six December starts. He’ll face a Sabres team that has won two in row, but Schneider is already 1-0 against them this season.
