Schneider starts on Tuesday.

Schneider allowed one goal on 38 shots in a tough-luck 2-1 shootout loss to the Avalanche on Thursday. It has been the story of Schneider's season, great goaltending with minimal goal support. He holds a 1.91 GAA and .924 SV% but those numbers have only translated into seven wins. His team will be hard-pressed to score on Tuesday when they face the Blues.

Varlamov stopped 33 of 34 shots in a shootout win against the Devils on Thursday. The win moved him to third in the NHL with 23 on the season and was his seventh in his last eight starts. He has turned himself into a top-10 fantasy option this season and should be considered a must-start tonight against the Predators 25th ranked offence.

Schneider allowed two goals on 25 shots in a shootout loss to the Maple Leafs on Sunday. Schneider has been stingy lately, but still isn't getting a lot goal support. He has allowed only six goals in his last five starts, but the Devils have only scored eight in that span. On Thursday he will take on the Avalanche on the road, on a busy night in the NHL there should be safer options.

Semyon Varlamov will start in goal for Colorado.

Varlamov stopped 25 of 27 shots in a win over the WIld on Saturday. The win was his 21st of the season which ties him with Carey Price for sixth in the NHL. Varly also ranks 16th in GAA (2.35) and 7th in SV% (.926). Tonight he takes on Chicago, he stopped 36 of 37 shots in a 5-1 win over the Hawks in their first meeting, he also stopped all 13 shots after replacing J.S Giguere in the third period of a 7-2 rout in late December. Overall he is 1-0-0 with a 0.75 GAA and .980 SV% vs. Chicago this season.

Schneider starts again Sunday against Toronto.

Schneider stopped 29 of 30 shots in a win over the Panthers on Saturday. He has been excellent lately, he has won three of his last four starts while allowing just four goals, stopping 105 of 109 shots (.963 SV%). He will take on a slumping Maple Leafs team on Sunday.

Varlamov gets the start in both games of the Avalanche back-to-back.

Varlamov allowed two goals on 24 shots in a loss to the Islanders last night. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak, but he will get a chance to bounce back right away when he takes on the Wild tonight. Varly is 1-0-1 with a 1.38 GAA and .953 SV% against Minnesota this season.

Varlamov allowed three goals on 32 in a win over the Senators on Wednesday. Varly has now won each of his last four starts while allowing 10 goals and posting a .925 SV%. He will make his 22nd home start tonight vs. the Islanders, he is 14-5-2 with a 2.27 GAA and .929 SV% in previous 21 starts at the Pepsi Center.

Schneider stopped all 26 shots that he faced in a 1-0 win over the Stars on Thursday night. After a handful of ugly starts towards the end of December, Schneider is now 2-1-0 with a 1.01 GAA and .962 SV% in his last three starts. He has a good matchup on Saturday, at home against the Panthers and their 28th ranked offence (2.23 G/PG)

Schneider allowed two goals on 22 shots in a loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday. Despite posting a solid 2.13 GAA and .914 SV%, Schneider has struggled to win games, going 5-9-5 in his first 19 starts with the Devils. He will face a Stars team who have lost three straight while being outscored 18-8.

Schneider allowed just one goal on 31 shots in a win over the Islanders on December 28. The win was his fifth of the season and snapped a five game losing streak. He will take on the Sabres tonight, the first time he took on Buffalo he stopped all 15 shots he faced in a 1-0 OT win.

Varlamov stopped 29 of 30 shots in a win over the Flyers on Thursday. It was his second straight win and 18th of the season. He carries an 18-8-4 record with a 2.33 GAA and .928 SV% into Saturday's meeting with the Sharks. In his first start vs. San Jose he stopped 41 of 45 shots in a 5-4 shootout loss.

Varlamov allowed two goals on 37 shots in a 2-1 OT loss to the Jets on Sunday. Varly has lost three consecutive starts, but will look to close out December on a high-note when he faces the Blue Jackets tonight. Varlamov enters play with a 3-2-4 record, 2.78 GAA and .914 SV% this month.

Schneider allowed five goals on 37 shots in a loss to the Blackhawks on Monday. Schneider has lost five straight while allowing at least three goals in each contest and 17 overall. Tonight he will face the Isles in New York, he is 2-6-2 with a 2.59 GAA and .904 SV% on the road.
