Holmgren confirms schenn broken left ffoot

Per team press release: The Lightning signed left wing Ondrej Palat to a three-year, entry-level contract today.
Palat scored 39 goals and 96 points last season for the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL. He figures to add depth to the Lightning's minor league affiliate Norfolk Admirals

The gritty forward might not be ready for Game 1 with the season opener less than a week away. Last season he posted a career high 19 goals and 34 points -- totals he could hit if he remains on the third line. Nevertheless, he remains a player who will miss some games every year due to his style of play.
Andreas Nodl (groin pull) and Brayden Schenn (shoulder injury) worked out on their own initially on Sunday before joining the main group on the ice at Skate Zone. It’s becoming more feasible that Schenn could start the season with the Phantoms while rehabbing his shoulder. That would allow the Flyers significant salary cap relief during the first week of the season to make some roster adjustments, then LTI Ian Laperriere (post-concussion syndrome) and deal with any cap issues in mid-October.
Schenn could get called down as the Flyers have no shortage of youngsters ready to step into the lineup.
