Quick was the first goalie off of the ice at the Kings morning skate.

Quick gave up four goals on 36 shots in the Kings’ win in Columbus on Saturday. Quick has had a great start to the season, winning five of six starts while posting a 1.99 GAA, .938 SV%. and one shutout. The Kings are providing him with a lot of goal support and they will need to continue that tonight vs. a Leafs team who leads the NHL in goals.

Quick gets the nod vs. Montreal on Wednesday.

Quick allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Kings’ win over the Sabres on Saturday. Darcy Kuemper got the nod on Sunday, so they’ll come back to Quick tonight vs. the Canadiens. Quick has won three of his four starts while posting a 1.74 GAA, .943 SV% and one shutout. He makes for a great option tonight vs. a 1-4-1 Canadiens team on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Bonino (lower-body) missed Monday’s practice; questionable for Tuesday’s game vs. Colorado.

Bonino departed Saturday’s game early, playing just 9:50 TOI, and missed Monday’s practice as well. The missed session puts a serious black cloud over Bonino’s status for Tuesday’s game. With Bonino out, Kevin Fiala centred the Predators second line in today’s practice.

Domingue will start Saturday vs. the Bruins.

Domingue allowed three goals on 23 shots after replacing an injured Antti Raanta in the Coyotes loss to Detroit on Thursday. With Raanta day-to-day, look for Domingue to start tonight vs. the Bruins. Domingue has allowed 10 goals on 87 shots (.885 SV%) in one start and two relief appearances this season.

Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick stopped 24 of 25 shots in the Kings win in San Jose on Saturday. Quick has played very well in his first two starts, kicking the season off at 2-0-0 while stopping 59 of 60 shots (.983 SV%). The Senators have recalled Ben Harpur from Binghamton (AHL).

Harpur has been recalled because Johnny Oduya is dealing with a lower-body injury and Erik Karlsson’s status remains up in the air. The 22-year-old has just one assist in 11 career NHL games and is coming off of a season in which he had 27 points (2G / 25A) in 63 games with Binghamton (AHL).

Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick will look to have a better season opener tonight than he did last year. Quick left last year’s game No.1 with a groin injury and ended up missing four and a half months as a result. Upon his return, Quick was 8-5-2 with a 2.26 GAA and .917 SV% and two shutouts. Those are very Quick-like numbers for the veteran who will face the Flyers, who are on the wrong end of a back-to-back after beating the Sharks last night.

Domingue will start the Coyotes season opener in Anaheim.

This summer, the Coyotes went out and acquired Antti Raanta to be their No.1 netminder. Despite acquiring the former backup, Domingue will get the nod in the season opener with Raanta not cleared to play due to a lower-body injury. Domingue has a career 2.87 GAA and .910 SV%, but doesn’t draw too tough of a matchup tonight because the Ducks are decimated by injuries.

Bonino (leg) is ready for his Predators debut on Thursday.

Bonino sat out during the preseason as he recovered from a broken leg suffered in the Stanley Cup Finals, but he was on the ice for the optional morning skate and will play vs. the Bruins. In his Nashville debut, Bonino will centre a line with veteran Scott Hartnell on one wing and Kevin Fiala on the other.

The Predators have signed Nick Bonino to a four-year deal worth $16.4M ($4.1M AAV).

Bonino had one of the best seasons of his career 2016-17, posting 18 goals and 19 assists (37 points) in 80 games and added an additional seven points (4G / 3A) in 21 playoff games to help the Penguins to their second Stanley Cup in a row. Bonino will fill the hole left by Mike Fisher’s expected departure and should serve as the Predators No.2/No.3 centre.
