The Rangers enter Tuesday's action as +138 road underdogs against a Capitals team that defeated them 1-0 in their only meeting this season.

Perreault (illness) is expected to return in Washington on Tuesday.

Perreault did not play in New York's most recent game due to an illness, but will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals. The 20-year-old Perreault has played only five games this season with the Rangers but has been productive, scoring three points (1G/2A) as he tries to acclimate to the NHL.

Rempe did not play in New York's most recent game due to an illness, but will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals. The 23-year-old Rempe has one goal and seven penalty minutes in 13 games this season. Conor Sheary will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Rempe's return.

Miller suffered an upper-body injury in Saturday's game vs. the Flyers and will not be available for Sunday's game in Nashville. Miller remained in New York to be evaluated, so look for Taylor Raddysh or Jonny Brodzinski to return to the lineup on Sunday.

Perreault will slot into the lineup in place of Artemi Panarin, who is out with an illness. Dorofeyev was limited to only 11:04 time-on-ice in the Golden Knights' most recent game, exiting due to an undisclosed injury, but he will be in the lineup on Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils. The 25-year-old Dorofeyev had a breakout season in 2024-25, scoring 35 goals, and is pacing for similar totals in 2025-26, with 21 points (13G / 8A) through 31 games.

Chmelar has been reassigned to Hartford (AHL).

The Rangers are shaking up their roster, sending Jaroslav Chmelar and Brett Berard to Hartford (AHL), with Brennan Othmann and Gabriel Perreault coming back the other way in corresponding moves. The 22-year-old Chmelar made his NHL debut this season and is searching for his first point through six games. He has 11 points (3G / 8A) in the AHL through 19 games with Hartford this season.
