Pettersson (lower-body) will return to the Penguins lineup on Tuesday.

Pettersson has not played since suffering a lower-body injury on December 14th, missing six straight games, but will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings. The 28-year-old Pettersson has been a steadying force on the blueline for a Penguins club that has struggled defensively at times. He is averaging 21:47 time-on-ice, recording 13 points (2G / 11A), 56 blocks, and 36 hits in 32 games.

Shesterkin will be placed on IR with an upper-body injury.

Shesterkin was between the pipes for the entirety of Monday's 5-3 loss to the Florida Panthers but was placed on Injured Reserve on Tuesday due to an upper-body injury. A byproduct of poor team play, Shesterkin has struggled this season, posting an uncharacteristic 3.10 GAA and .906 SV% in 27 games (11-15-1). The 29-year-old Shesterkin will be sidelined until at least January 5th.

In the front end of a back-to-back set against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Bruins will turn to Korpisalo between the pipes. The 30-year-old Korpisalo has been solid in limited action this season, posting a 2.42 GAA and .904 SV% in 12 appearances (7-3-1). The Bruins enter Friday's contest as -157 road favorites against a Blue Jackets club that defeated them 5-1 on November 18th.

Shesterkin will start in Dallas on Friday.

The Rangers are 3-8-0 in their last 11 games and will be desperate to right their ship on Friday against the Dallas Stars. Despite an ugly 2-8-0 record in his previous 10 games, Shesterkin has been serviceable between the pipes, albeit not his usual elite self, posting a .904 SV%. He has a 3.04 GAA and .908 SV% in 23 games this season (10-12-1). The Rangers enter Friday's contest as +156 road underdogs against a Stars squad that was defeated 5-3 by the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday.

Rempe will draw back into New York's lineup in Dallas on Friday.

Rempe has not played since November 25th but will return to the lineup on Friday against the Dallas Stars. The 22-year-old Rempe has only played four games with the Rangers this season, spending most of his time in the AHL, scoring five points (3G / 2A) in 18 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
