Jonathan Quick will start Friday vs. Anaheim.

Quick will draw his second start in three games Friday as he looks to keep his impeccable 8-0-1 record in check vs. Anaheim. The 37-year-old has turned back the clock in his first year in New York, with his best SV% (.922) since 2011-12 and best GAA (2.20) since 2013-14. He takes on the plummeting Anaheim Ducks, who have lost four straight games and are struggling offensively being 29th in the NHL in goals per game (2.61).

Adam Edstrom has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL).

Edstrom had seven goals, two assists, 14 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus in 21 games with Hartford (AHL) and has earned his first NHL call up Friday. The 23-year-old Swedish forward was the Rangers 2019 sixth-round pick (161st overall) and came over after four seasons with Rogle BK of the SHL in 2022-23.

Vladislav Gavrikov (lower body) will not play Wednesday and is considered out week-to-week.

Gavrikov left the Kings' previous game Sunday after just 6:36 TOI due to a lower-body injury and will miss Wednesday vs. Winnipeg and is now considered out week-to-week. The 28-year-old defensemen was having one of the strongest offensive seasons of his seven year career, with three goals, six assists, 29 SOG, six PIMs and a +8 plus/minus in 25 games prior to his injury.

Vladislav Gavrikov
Shesterkin will start against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

Shesterkin has a decent 2.83 GAA and .908 SV% through 16 games (10-6-0) but has quietly been outperformed by veteran backup Jonathan Quick. Shesterkin has allowed nine goals on his last 64 shots (.859 SV%) and he struggled to showcase the elite form he has possessed in previous seasons. That said, the Rangers have still been able to string together a terrific season and are -166 home favourites against a Toronto Maple Leafs team that lost 4-3 in overtime last night to the New York Islanders.

Shesterkin will start in Ottawa on Tuesday.

Shesterkin will start on Tuesday after having the night off in the back end of a back-to-back on Sunday. The 27-year-old Russian netminder has elevated his game recently after a sluggish start, by his standards, to the season. Shesterkin has won three of his last four outings (3-1-0), allowing only 10 goals and posting a .929 SV%. The Rangers are -139 road favourites as they visit an Ottawa Senators team coming off a 2-0 shutout victory over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday.

Quick will start against the Sharks on Sunday.

Quick will start the tail-end of the Rangers' back-to-back after Igor Shesterkin led the team to a 4-3 victory over the Predators on Saturday. It will be Quick's first start since last Saturday against the Bruins, when he allowed four goals on 31 shots enroute to a 7-4 win. The 37-year-old netminder has been stellar when called upon this season, posting a 6-0-1 record and a .930 SV%. He draws an ideal matchup on Sunday with the Rangers being -400 favourites over the Sharks.

Jonathan Quick
Fox (lower-body) will return to the Rangers' lineup on Wednesday.

Fox has 11 points (3G / 8A) in 10 games and has not played since November 2nd. During his absence, Fox has been replaced on the Rangers' top powerplay by Erik Gustafsson, who has performed admirably, scoring 10 points (1G / 9A). That said, Gustafsson was averaging 2:46 less time-on-ice before Fox was injured, scoring only four points (2G / 2A) in 10 games, which is closer to what can be expected from him after Fox returns.

Adam Fox
Igor Shesterkin will start Wednesday vs. Detroit.

Shesterkin will return to the crease on Wednesday after allowing four goals on 38 shots (.895 SV%) in his last contest, a 5-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. During his Vezina-winning 2021-22 season, Shesterkin allowed four or more goals only seven times the entire season (53 games), a considerably stronger ratio than the four times he has allowed four or more in 12 games this season. That said, Shesterkin looks poised to rebound on Wednesday as the Rangers are -191 home favourites against a Detroit Red Wings team that will be without leading scorer Dylan Larkin.
