Shesterkin will start in Boston on Friday.

The Rangers have stumbled through the 2025-26 season, off to a mediocre 12-11-2 start, but have won two straight and will turn to Shesterkin to tend the twine on Friday against the Boston Bruins. The 29-year-old Shesterkin was excellent in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, saving 36 of 38 shots (.947 SV%). He has a 2.47 GAA and .911 SV% in 19 games this season (9-8-2). The Rangers enter the action on Friday as -135 road favorites against a Bruins team that has scored three or fewer goals in seven straight games (3-4-0).

Parssinen cleared waivers and has been assigned to Hartford (AHL).

Parssinen appeared in 14 games with the Rangers this season, scoring three points (2G / 1A), but failed to make a lasting impact and was ultimately placed on waivers. The 24-year-old Parssinen had a surprising rookie season with the Nashville Predators in 2022-23, scoring an impressive 25 points (6G / 19A) in 45 games, but has not maintained that success in three seasons since, scoring only 31 points (16G / 15A) in 105 games.

Borgen has only played one game in the last two weeks, but could return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 28-year-old Borgen has two points (1G / 2A) and is averaging 18:38 time-on-ice through 19 games this season.

Miller (upper-body) will be a game-time decision in Carolina on Wednesday.

Miller did not play in New York's most recent game due to an upper-body injury and could miss a second consecutive contest on Wednesday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 32-year-old Miller is averaging 20:41 time-on-ice, over three minutes more than his career average (17:35), but has struggled immensely in the offensive department this season, scoring only 12 points (6G / 6A) in 22 games despite being well-above a point-per-game player in his last five seasons.
