Shesterkin will start Monday vs. the Islanders.

Shesterkin allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Rangers win over the Capitals last Thursday. After a tough start to the season, Shesterkin is settling in, winning three in a row while stopping 79 of the 84 shots (.940 SV%) that he's faced. Tonight he'll look for revenge against an Islanders team, who scored four goals on 33 shots against him in the season opener.

Korpisalo will start Monday vs. the Hurricanes.

Korpisalo allowed six goals on 26 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Hurricanes on Sunday. With Elvis Merzlikins and Matiss Kivlenieks both dealing with injuries, Korpisalo will make his fourth straight start on Monday. After a strong start the season, Korpisalo has allowed 14 goals on 77 shots (.818 SV%) in his previous three starts.

Korpisalo allowed five goals on 23 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Stars on Tuesday. Elvis Merzlikins appeared to suffer an injury in Tuesday's practice, which is likely why the Blue Jackets will go back to Korpisalo in tonight's rematch. Korpisalo has had a tough time on home-ice so far, going 0-1-2 with a 4.11 GAA and .879 SV% in his first three starts at Nationwide Arena.

Shesterkin allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Rangers' win over the Penguins on Monday. After a slow start to the season, Shesterkin has now won two in a row while stopping 48 of the 51 shots (.941 SV%) that he's faced. Tonight he faces a Capitals team that have won three of their last four and continue to get players back from COVID-19 reserve list.

Korpisalo will start Tuesday vs. the Stars.

Korpisalo allowed one goal on 32 shots in the Blue Jackets' win in Chicago last Friday. Korpisalo has been outstanding through the first month of the season, posting a 2.17 GAA and .936 SV% in his first five appearances. Tonight he'll face a Dallas team that is coming off of back-to-back losses but are 4-1-1 with 3.83 goals per game (2nd in the NHL) through their first six games.
