Shesterkin is the Rangers' top goalie prospect and one of the best goalie prospects in the entire NHL. The 24-year-old was a fourth-round pick in 2014 and came over to North America this year. He has dominated at the AHL-level, going 15-4-3 with a 1.93 GAA and .932 SV% and deserves a look at the NHL-level. He had ridiculous numbers in the KHL over the last three seasons, never having a GAA over 1.69 and while posting a .940 SV% and winning 71 of 95 games.

Dowling has been a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Alexander Radulov, who is out with a lower-body injury. Dowling will start on the top-line with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn and comes in with five points (3G / 2A) in 22 games this season.

Quick allowed four goals on 27 shots in the Kings loss in Pittsburgh on Saturday. The loss snapped a nice two-game winning streak for Quick, who will start tonight in Boston after getting Sunday night off. He is 2-8-1 with a 3.85 GAA and .865 SV% on the road this season, so stay away from him in a matchup with a Bruins team that is 12-1-5 on home ice.

Carrick appeared in two games with the Ducks last week, picking up one assist and four shots while playing 13:07 ATOI. He has 10 goals and six assists (16 points) in 18 AHL games this season.

Dowling drew into the lineup on Saturday because Mattias Janmark was dealing with an upper-body injury, but Janmark is back tonight which will make Dowling a healthy scratch for the fourth time in five games.

The Kings are doing a tremendous job at limiting shots against this year but it hasn’t helped Quick, who has lost four of his last five while allowing a combined 13 goals on 111 shots (.883 SV%). He has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.55 GAA and .877 SV% in two games against the Oilers this season.

Quick allowed four goals on 22 shots in the Kings loss in San Jose last Friday. Jack Campbell started the last two games but Quick will make his 19th start of these season on Wednesday. The veteran netminder went 5-4-1 with a 2.42 GAA and .906 SV% in 10 starts in November and draws a horrible matchup with the Capitals in town--they are tied for first in the NHL with 45 points (20-4-5).

Pouliot appeared in two games during his call-up but heads back to the AHL with Robert Bortuzzo set to return from suspension on Monday. Pouliot leads all San Antonio defensemen with 18 points (4G / 14A) in 20 AHL games this season.

Dowling returned from injury on Sunday but will come back out of the lineup in Minnesota. Dowling will be replaced by Mattias Janmark.
