The Stars have recalled Justin Dowling from Texas (AHL).
Dowling has recorded two goals and four assists (six points) in seven games with Texas this season. The 28-year-old centre has registered just two assists in nine career NHL games.

The Bruins have recalled Urho Vaakanainen from Providence (AHL) on an emergency basis.
Vaakanainen, 19, has registered two assists in six games with Providence so far this season. The 2017 first round pick (No.18 overall) could draw into the lineup in Vancouver after being called-up on an emergency basis, suggesting someone is hurt.
Cholowski (upper-body) will return to the Red Wings lineup on Monday.
As expected, the rookie defenseman will draw back into the Red Wings lineup in Montreal. Cholowski has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but will replace Danny DeKeyser in tonight’s lineup. He has one goal and two assists in his first three games of his career. Look for him to log massive minutes tonight after averaging 22:10 TOI/GM so far.

Korpisalo stopped 18 of 20 shots in the Blue Jackets win in Detroit last Thursday. Bobrovsky recorded a win over the Avalanche on Tuesday, but the Blue Jackets will go with Korpisalo in Florida tonight. The 24-year-old was 2-6-1 with a 4.11 GAA and .872 SV% on the road last season.
Cholowski (upper-body) will not play on Thursday.
Cholowski has been great for the Red Wings so far, scoring one goal with two assists while averaging 22:10 TOI/GM in his first three NHL contests. There’s no word when the rookie defenseman suffered the injury, but he will be replaced by Niklas Kronwall vs. Toronto on Thursday.

Korpisalo will star the Blue Jackets season debut in Detroit.
The Blue Jackets open their season with a back-to-back in Detroit and Carolina, so they will save Sergei Bobrovsky for the home opener and the tougher matchup. Korpisalo didn’t see a lot of work in 2018 and his numbers didn’t warrant many more starts—he finished the year with a 3.32 GAA and .897 SV% in just 18 starts.
The Blue Jackets re-signed Oliver Bjorkstrand to a three-year deal worth $7.5M ($2.5M AAV).
The Lightning have re-signed J.T. Miller to a five-year deal worth $26.25M ($5.25M AAV).

Tolvanen will make his NHL debut on Saturday.
Tolvanen, 18, was the No.30 overall pick in last summer’s draft and joins the Predators after one year in the KHL. Tolvanen scored 21 goals with 17 assists (38 points) in 51 games with Jokerit—adding three goals in four playoff games. The rookie winger is expected to skate on the Predators top line with Ryan Johansen and Viktor Arvidsson.
The Predators signed Eeli Tolvanen to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Korpisalo allowed four goals on 27 shots in the Blue Jackets win over the Avalanche on March 8th. Sergei Bobrovsky hast started the last four games but Korpisalo will start the front-end of the back-to-back tonight in Boston. Korpisalo is an ugly 1-5-0 with a 4.21 GAA and .872 SV% in six starts on the road this season.
The Bruins have recalled Anton Blidh from Providence (AHL).
Blidh, 23, has scored nine goals with 13 assists (22 points) in 59 games with Providence (AHL) this season. His call-up likely means that Jake DeBrusk will not play on Thursday after getting hurt in Tuesday’s game.
Zibanejad (illness) will be back in the Rangers lineup on Thursday.
Zibanejad missed Tuesday’s game vs. the Jets, but will draw back in tonight in Tampa Bay. Zibanejad will take his spot on the Rangers top line and return with 19 goals and 15 assists (34 points) in 57 games this season.

It was a great outing for Korpisalo, who will start the front-end of the Blue Jackets’ back-to-back tonight vs. the Avalanche. The 23-year-old has gone 5-2-0 with a 2.27 GAA and .931 SV% in eight games on home-ice.
Zibanejad (illnesss) will not play Tuesday vs. the Jets.
