After being dropped to the third line on Friday, Burakovsky recorded a goal and assist, but he is reportedly banged up following this weekend’s back-to-back set. The Capitals are off until Thursday, so even if he’s kept off of the ice today he could avoid missing any time.

Burakovsky has just two assists in seven games in the Capitals’ top-6 so he was moved to the third line with Tom Wilson taking his spot with Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie. Burakovsky will be difficult to trust in fantasy circles while he’s outside the top-6.

Blais had a really strong training camp and was a surprise cut from the opening night roster. Upon his return to the AHL, the 21-year-old winger posted three goals and one assist (four points) in two games with San Antonio. Look for him to make his NHL debut on Saturday.

After sitting out of the season opener, Cousins has been in the lineup for the last two games, failing to record a point, four shots and three hits. He’ll likely centre the fourth line with Jordan Martinook and Anthony Duclair on his wings.

Cousins is dealing with a lower-body injury and is listed as a game-time decision, but doesn’t carry a lot of fantasy value regardless of his status. Cousins has no points and three shots in two games so far this season.

The Senators blueline is banged up; Erik Karlsson is still fighting a foot injury, Johnny Oduya missed Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury and Ben Harpur left that game with an upper-body ailment. Chabot, who was expected to make the opening night roster, has one goal and one assist in two games with Belleville (AHL). Look for Chabot to make his season debut on tomorrow in Vancouver.

This summer the Flyers drafted Nolan Patrick at No.2 overall, creating a logjam down the middle in Philadelphia. With Nolan expected to make the roster out of training camp, the Flyers gave Giroux a look on the left side of Sean Couturier with Jakub Voracek on the wing. Couturier and Patrick would likely serve as the No.1 and No.2 centres with the likes of Valtteri Filppula and Jori Lehtera likely being the No.3 and No.4 pivots. The centre depth will allow the Flyers to get creative and putting Giroux on the wing with Couturier and Voracek could give them a dominant first line without sacrificing depth. It’s only been one day of practice, but Giroux would definitely see an uptick in fantasy value if he were to gain dual position eligibility (C/LW).

Cousins, 23, was a third round pick of the Flyers in 2011 and he amassed 27 points (12G / 15A) in 107 career NHL games. Cousins was been a near point per game player the AHL level, posting 34 goals and 60 assists (94 points) in 102 games in 2015 and 2016. He has the scoring ability, but just needs to elevate his NHL game to be more productive.

Burakovsky has been sidelined since February 9th and will remain in Washington to skate while the team goes to California for a three-game trip. Monitor his status leading up to next Tuesday’s game vs. the Wild.

Ullmark was scheduled to start last night, but Robin Lehner returned from concussion protocol to take the Sabres’ crease. He returns to Rochester, where he has gone 20-20-2 with a 2.90 GAA and .910 SV% this season.
