Ullmark is in the starter's crease at the Sabres morning skate.

Ullmark stopped all 40 shots that he faced in the Sabres shutout win vs. the Ducks on December 22nd. Ullmark has won each of his last three starts while allowing just five goals on 106 shots (.953 SV%). In his first start against the Panthers, Ullmark allowed three goals on 43 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss (Nov.30).

Chabot (upper-body) will not play on Saturday.

Chabot was forced to leave Friday’s game against the Islanders with an upper-body injury and will not be available on Sunday, The Senators are now without their No.1 defenseman and No.1 goalie which is going to make things very difficult for an already overmatched team. There is no word on the severity of Chabot’s injury so consider him day-to-day until we get more information.

Ullmark will start Saturday vs. the Ducks.

Ullmark allowed two goals on 37 shots in the Sabres win in Boston last Sunday. Ullmark had an ugly stretch in late-November/early-December but has since won two in a row while stopping 61 of the 66 shots (.924 SV%) that he faced. Tonight he faces a hot Ducks team on home-ice, where he has gone 2-1-1 with a 3.65 GAA and .884 SV%.

Anderson will not be available on Saturday due to an upper-body injury.

Anderson was forced to leave Friday’s game in New Jersey and will not be available for Saturday’s game. The Senators will likely re-evaluate Anderson over the break and provide a detailed update in the coming days. Mike McKenna will start and Marcus Hogberg has been called up to backup while Anderson is out.

Anderson allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Senators win over the Predators on Monday. Anderson has won three of his last four while allowing a combined nine goals on 134 shots (.933 SV%). The 37-year-old has been terrible on the road this year, going 3-7-1 with a 4.13 GAA and .891 SV% in 12 games.

Anderson allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Senators win in Detroit last Friday. Anderson has gone four of his last seven starts (4-3-0) while posting a 2.24 GAA, .931 SV% and one shutout. One of those losses came against the Predators, who he will face again tonight. Anderson stopped 33 of 36 shots in a 3-1 loss in Nashville last Tuesday.

He is an especially risky option against a Predators team that is 11-5-0 at Bridgestone Arena this season. Anderson is 2-6-1 with a 4.48 GAA and .885 SV% on the road.

Ullmark surrendered six goals on 41 shots in the Sabres loss to the Flyers on Saturday. Even though Carter Hutton is available tonight, the Sabres will tick with Ullmark after a rough outing. Ullmark has dropped three straight games while allowing a combined 13 goals on 114 shots (.886 SV%). Despite a recent stretch of poor play, he has a great matchup with the Kings in town on a back-to-back.

Anderson allowed four goals on 42 shots in the Senators loss to Montreal on Thursday. Anderson lost both games to the Senators this week, allowing a combined nine goals on 83 shots (.892 SV%). In his first start against the Penguins, Anderson allowed four goals on 35 shots in a 6-4 win.

Ullmark allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Sabres overtime loss to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. With Carter Hutton listed as day-to-day, Ullmark will be the Sabres’ No.1 netminder moving forward. The 25-year-old is 5-0-3 with a 2.71 GAA and .921 SV% this season. The Flyers come in at 6-5-1 in 12 road games.
