Zamula was in line to be in Philadelphia's lineup on Friday but was asked to leave practice early on Thursday by head coach John Tortorella after not impressing the head coach with his effort. The 24-year-old defenseman has enjoyed a productive first full season with the Flyers, with his five goals, 20 points, 58 SOG, 32 PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 63 games in 2023-24.

Couturier played only 3:21 before exiting Monday's 4-3 loss to the New York Islanders with a shoulder injury. The 31-year-old Couturier has only one point in his last 15 games and is averaging only 10:11 time-on-ice in the last six games since being a healthy scratch. The Flyers will turn to Ersson on Tuesday against the New York Rangers after giving him the night off in their last game. Errson has allowed three or fewer goals in five straight (3-2-0), including saving 18 of 20 shots (.900 SV%) in a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins in his last outing. The Flyers enter action as +160 road underdogs against the Rangers.
