Philadelphia has signed Ty Murchison to a two-year, entry-level contract starting in 2025-26.
Murchison was a fifth-round pick, 158th overall, of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old defenseman has been developing with Arizona State University (NCAA) and has seven points (3G / 4A) in 37 games last season.
Kolosov has been recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL).
Kolosov has split time between Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley (AHL) this season, posting a 3.45 GAA and .870 SV% in 15 appearances with the Flyers (4-8-1). The 23-year-old Kolosov will provide some depth for a Flyers team that has had trouble relying on Ivan Fedotov, who has allowed 14 goals on the last 77 shots he's faced (.818 SV%) in four appearances (0-3-0).

It is a huge loss on the back end for the Flyers, as the 30-year-old had been coming around as of late with four points in his last nine games played. Ristolainen likely puts a bow on the 2024-25 regular season with four goals, 19 points and a +3 plus/minus in 63 games played.
