Richard was a healthy scratch for the Canadiens' previous game but will draw back into the lineup Tuesday as they take on the Predators. The 26-year-old has one goal, four SOG and a +2 plus/minus through four games played so far with Montreal this season.
Givani Smith has been recalled from Charlotte (AHL).
Smith has two goals, three assists, and 49 PIMS across 22 games with both Charlotte and Grand Rapids in the AHL. He heads back to Florida for his second NHL stint of the season after picking up seven PIMs in his one-game showing earlier in the season.

Ersson stopped 27 of 29 shots (.931 SV%) to stay undefeated and pick up his second straight victory with a win over Los Angeles in his last start. The 23-year-old has done enough while filling in for an injured Carter Hart, with his 2-0-0 record, 3.58 GAA and .885 SV%. He will take on Anaheim, who has lost four of their last five games after a 6-1 loss to Nashville in their last game.
