Michkov surprised the hockey world by terminating his contract with SKA St. Petersburgh (KHL) and signing a three-year, entry-level contract with Philadelphia. The 19-year-old is Phildaelphia's 2023 1st-round pick (7th overall) and had 19 goals and 41 points in 47 games with HK Sochi (KHL) while on loan last season.

Vegas built on their overall depth on Monday as they signed 29-year-old Zach Aston-Reese to a one-year, two-way contract. The travelling forward will join his fifth team in eight NHL seasons after only appearing in three games for Detroit in 2023-24.

Toronto locked up their goaltender of the future on Monday as it signed Joseph Woll to a three-year contract extension worth $10.98 million ($3.66M AAV). The 25-year-old netminder took a large step forward in 2023-24 despite battling injuries throughout the season, with his 12-11-1 record, 2.94 GAA and .907 SV% in 25 games played.

Edmonton added to its defensive depth on Friday as it signed 26-year-old defender Cam Dineen to a two-year, two-way contract extension. The AHL regular has made one NHL appearance in his career, appearing in 34 games with Arizona in 2021-22. In 2023-24, he had five goals and 25 points in 58 games with Bakersfield (AHL).

Grundstrom appeared in 50 games during the 2023-24 season, scoring eight goals with four assists (12 points). Grundstrom has always been a fringe roster player for the Kings but should earn a more permanent role with the Sharks. His last three seasons have been very similar, he's averaged 54 games, 10 goals and six assists (16 points).


Woll took over Toronto's crease for Game 5 and was sensational, stopping 27 of 28 shots against (.964 SV%) in a 2-1 overtime victory and will start again in Game 6 in Toronto. The 25-year-old enjoyed an up-and-down injury-filled season, with his 12-11-1 record, 2.94 GAA and .907 SV%. He will look to keep Toronto's season alive on Thursday, as they host their rival the Boston Bruins.

Grebyonkin was the fifth-round pick of the Maple Leafs in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old right winger has played part of the last four seasons in the KHL, including a 2023-24 campaign where he tallied 41 points (19G / 22A) in 67 games with Magnitogorsk Metallurg.

With the Red Wings season now concluded, Aston-Reese has been reassigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL). Aston-Reese played three games with the Red Wings this season but spent most of the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL, scoring 29 points (14G / 15A) in 59 games for Grand Rapids.

Aston-Reese will take a seat on Monday as Andrew Copp is set to return from an upper-body injury. Aston-Reese has played only three games with the Red Wings this season and is yet to register a point.
