Kris Letang will be a game-time decision Tuesday due to illness

The Penguins currently find themselves on a four-game skid so the news that Kris Letang may miss Tuesday due to illness does not come at a good time whatsoever. Letang has struggled early on in 2022-23, posting a -5 plus/minus rating with only four points (0G/4A) through his first nine games.

Jarry surrendered four goals on 28 shots in the Penguins loss in Vancouver last Friday. After starting the season 4-0 with a .941 SV%, Jarry has dropped two in a row while giving up 10 goals on 75 shots (.867 SV%). Things won't get any easier on Tuesday, when he faces a Bruins team that is 8-1-0 and lead the NHL in goals per game (4.2).

Jarry allowed a season high six goals on 47 shots (.872 SV%) as he earned his first loss of the season his last time out in a 6-3 game vs. Edmonton. The Penguins' starter has been very solid so far this season as shown by his 4-1-0 record and .923 SV%. He draws the start against the Canucks who playing their second game of a back-to-back after winning their first game of the season Thursday in a 5-4 win over Seattle

Caleb Jones will play Tuesday vs. the Florida Panthers after missing last game (healthy scratch)

Caleb Jones returns to the Blackhawks lineup to replace Filip Roos on Tuesday. Jones will return after missing his second game of the early season in Chicago's 5-4 win over Seattle Sunday. Through three games this season he is averaging 16:59 TOI while yet to collect his first point of the campaign.

Tristian Jarry will start Monday vs. the Oilers

Jarry will put his undefeated record on the line Monday as his Penguins head to Edmonton to take on the Oilers Monday. Fresh off a 29 save (.906 SV%) 6-3 victory over Columbus, Jarry is an early Vezina favourite as he has a 4-0-0 record along with a .941 SV% and 2.02 GAA. He will face an Oilers team looking to score for the first time in two games after getting shutout by the St.Louis Blues 2-0 on Saturday night.

Jarry stopped 34 of 36 shots in an impressive 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in his last start on Saturday. He got a rare night off Monday and will look to keep his 2-0-0 perfect record intact as he puts his impressive .938 SV% on the line against Los Angeles at home Thursday. The Kings are on a three-game winning streak where they have averaged 5.33 GF during the span.

Jarry draws his second start of the season after a dominating 26-save (.929 SV%) performance in Pittsburgh's opener Thursday night. Currently, In his seventh season with Pittsburgh, Jarry will hope to keep the Penguins undefeated Saturday in a tough matchup against Tampa Bay.
