Brossoit will make his season debut on Saturday.

Brossoit stopped 49 of 51 shots in an Oilers win in his NHL debut last April. Tonight will be his second career NHL game with Cam Talbot out with an illness. The 22-year-old netminder has gone 14-8-3 with a 2.70 GAA and .921 SV% in 26 starts with Bakersfield (AHL) this season.

Price (lower-body) will not return for 3-4 weeks.

Despite skating over the last week, Price remains at least three weeks away from returning to the Canadiens crease. This is a tough blow for a Habs team that continues to slip in the standings. With Price sidelined until mid-to-late February, Montreal will continue to roll with Mike Condon and Ben Scrivens as their goaltending tandem.

Carey Price
Price (lower-body) has skated two days in a row.

Price is not expected to return until after the All Star break, but he was on the ice for the last two days, which is a big step in him returning in early February. Price’s return would be huge for the Canadiens—he is one of the league’s top net minders and has gone 10-2-0 with a 2.06 GAA and .934 SV% this season.

Price (lower-body) is not expected to return until after the All Star Break.

Price has been sidelined since November 25th because of a lower-body injury and he was originally given a six-week timetable. Next Monday will mark six weeks, but Price has been ruled out for the remainder of January. Monitor Price’s status as the All Star game approaches.

The Sharks have recalled Barclay Goodrow from San Jose (AHL).

Goodrow, 22, spent the majority of last season with the Sharks, but has been in the AHL for most of this year. Goodrow had three assists in 12 games with the Sharks earlier in the year and eight goals and three assists (11 points) in 15 games with San Jose (AHL).

Price (lower-body) will miss a minimum of six weeks; will not require surgery.

Price missed nine games with a lower-body injury earlier in November and aggravated the injury in his third game back. Price will miss at lest six weeks, which means he will miss the Winter Classic and will be out until mid-January. If Price misses six weeks he will miss 18 games, which means Mike Condon has big shoes to fill and will have Dustin Tokarski as his backup.

Price (lower-body) is expected to miss one week; has been placed on IR.

Price aggravated his lower-body injury on Wednesday and was placed on IR to create room to recall Dustin Tokarski. Price will miss at least seven days with the injury. Mike Condon will take over as the Habs’ No. 1.

Price aggravated his lower-body injury in Wednesday’s win over the Rangers.

Price aggravated the same lower-body injury that forced him to miss nine games earlier this month. Mike Condon played well while Price was out and the Canadiens will have to turn to him again it appears. There is no word how long Price will be out, but you have to believe the Canadiens will be extra careful with their star netminder this time around.

Price will start on Wednesday in New York.

Price made 21 saves on 23 shots in Sunday’s win over the Islanders. Both of his starts since returning from injury have results in wins over the Islanders, showing he is back at 100 percent. Tonight he will make his third straight start and he is expected to go head-to-head with Henrik Lundqvist. In his first start vs. the Rangers, he registered a 25-save shutout in a 3-0 win.

Price (lower-body) will return to the Canadiens' crease on Friday.

Price has been out since November 1st, but he will finally to make his return to the crease on Friday. Price has been great this season, winning seven of his nine starts while posting a rock solid 2.01 GAA and .936 SV%. Whenever Price gets the nod, he is a strong option but he draws a fairly tough matchup vs. an Islanders team that is eighth in the NHL in scoring.

Price (lower-body) returned to practice on Wednesday.

Price has been sidelined since October 29th, but his return to practice this morning suggests that he is nearing a return to the Habs’ crease. Mike Condon has played admirably while serving as Montreal’s No. 1, but he has struggled recently, so Price’s return will be a welcomed sight. Monitor his status as the week progresses.

Carey Price
Price (lower-body) does not need surgery; will miss at least one more week.

On Monday, Price went to New York for a second opinion on his lower-body injury, but these tests came back the same as the first tests. The good news for Price is that he will not need surgery and is only expected to miss another week. With Price still sidelined, look for Mike Condon to start on Wednesday and Saturday.
