Skinner practiced this morning and appeared ready to return to the lineup, but he will miss his 11th straight contest. Look for Skinner to return on Thursday vs. Detroit.

Skinner has been out since October 24 and missed the last 10 games with an upper-body injury. In 10 games before getting hurt, Skinner was the Hurricanes best offensive weapon. He has three goals and nine points, which still ranks third on the team (Eric Staal leads with 11) despite skating in 10 fewer games. We will get confirmation following the morning skate.

Orlov has been recalled with Mike Green (lower-body) landing on IR. Orlov has recorded three goals and 20 points in 65 games over three seasons with the Capitals. He has yet to dress for Washington this season, but has two goals and eight points in eight games with Hershey (AHL).

Hurricanes head coach Kirk Muller indicated there was a chance that he could play tonight, but that is not the case. Skinner will miss his ninth straight game and likely his 10th tomorrow. His next chance to return would be Monday vs. Boston.

It was Muller earlier in the week who said that Skinner would be out a couple of more weeks, but this is very encouraging news. Skinner has missed the last eight games after a hot start. He had three goals and nine points in the first 10 games. If Skinner is unable to go tomorrow, his next chance to return would be Saturday vs. the Blues.

Price was great stopping 44 of 45 shots against the Lightning on Tuesday. Unfortunately for Price he was on the wrong end of a 2-1 shootout . He has a solid matchup against the Rangers, expect him to continue his strong play.

Price allowed two goals on 26 shots in a win over the Islanders on Sunday. The win was his seventh of the season and first since October 29. Price has had a strong start to the season posting a 2.20 GAA and .929 SV% in 15 starts. Tonight he catches a break with the Lightning playing their first game without Steven Stamkos.

Hurricanes head coach Kirk Muller said yesterday that Skinner is still a couple of weeks away. However, practicing on Friday would be a positive step in his recovery and he could potentially return sooner than two weeks if all goes well.

Skinner has missed seven games with an upper-body injury and will be out until late November.

Price gave up three goals on 23 shots in a loss to the Senators on Thursday. It was his third straight loss - Price has given up nine goals in that span. He has a solid matchup vs. an up-and-down Islanders team and their back-up goalie.

Skinner will miss his sixth straight game tonight and if he misses two weeks, he will miss Carolina's next seven games as well.

Price gave up two goals on 32 shots in a loss to the Blues on Tuesday. He has a decent matchup against the Senators on Thursday.

Skinner has been out since October 24th, but was expected to potentially return this week. He was not on the ice with the Hurricanes this morning, hopefully the second opinion does not reveal a serious injury for Skinner. He had three goals and six assists (nine points) in his first 10 games.

Price stopped 21 of 25 shots in a loss to the WIld on Friday. It was only the second time this season Price has given up more than three goals in a start. He's currently sitting at 6-6-0 with a 2.19 GAA and .932 SV% through 12 starts. Price has a tough matchup tomorrow vs. St. Louis.

Orlov, 22, registered two points (one goal, one assist) against the Norfolk Admirals (AHL) last night. He leads the Bears with eight points (two goals, six assists) this season. Orlov tallied an AHL career-high four points (one goal, three assists) on Oct. 19 in the Bears’ 4-0 win over the St. John’s IceCaps.

Orlov has not appear in a game with the Capitals but has earned six points (one goal, five assists) in six games with Hershey this season.

Toffoli was close to making the Kings out of pre-season, but was sent to Manchester (AHL). He has seven goals and five assists (12 points) in 10 games. He could see top-6 minutes with Jeff Carter on injured reserve.

Skinner has missed Carolina's last two games with an upper-body injury. He has already been ruled out for Friday and Saturday's games against the Lightning and the Rangers. Consider Skinner questionable to return on Tuesday.

Price stopped 26 of 27 shots in a win over the Stars on Tuesday. He has been great lately, winning two of his last three with a 1.34 GAA and .958 SV%. Price has a decent matchup vs. the Wild's 21st ranked offence.
