Nedeljkovic led the Red Wings onto the ice for warmups.

Nedeljkovic will be looking to bounce back after a six-goal, 35-save (.854 SV%) loss against the New Jersey Devils his last time out. Nedeljkovic has struggled this season as he has taken a back seat to Ville Husson. He hopes to improve his ugly .890 SV% and 3.96 GAA. He faces an offensively strong Sabres team coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Chicago. Buffalo surprisingly ranks 5th in the NHL in goals for per game (3.63).

Nedeljkovic will likely start Friday in Chicago.

Nedeljkovic stopped 37 of 39 shots in an impressive 5-2 victory vs New Jersey in his only start of the season. He backed up Ville Husso in the Red Wings' 5-4 overtime loss Monday, the last time the Wings took the ice. They head to Chicago for a very good matchup as they take on a weak Blackhawks team who ranks 29th in the NHL in GF (2.33) and 31st in SOG (23.0).

The Avalanche have recalled Martin Kaut from Colorado (AHL).

Kaut had a strong start to the AHL season, scoring two goals with one assist in his first two games. It earned him yet another NHL promotion, something he's done very little with in the past. He's had NHL stints for three straight seasons, compiling just two goals and one assist in 20 games. Ben Meyers was sent to the AHL to make room for Kaut.
