Regenda was a healthy scratch in New Jersey on Tuesday but will replace Brett Leason in the lineup on Thursday. Regenda has two assists and three shots in three games this season.
Kaut had a strong start to the AHL season, scoring two goals with one assist in his first two games. It earned him yet another NHL promotion, something he's done very little with in the past. He's had NHL stints for three straight seasons, compiling just two goals and one assist in 20 games. Ben Meyers was sent to the AHL to make room for Kaut.
Ferraro was listed as questionable after getting nicked up in Wednesday's practice, but he was on the ice for Friday's morning skate and is good to go vs. the Hurricanes. Ferraro has two assists and four shots on goal through two games.
Nedeljkovic will make his first start of the season in the second half of the Red Wings' back-to-back as they take on New Jersey Saturday. The 26-year-old struggled in his first season in Detroit in 2021-22 posting a .901 SV% and 3.31 GAA while winning 20 of 52 games started.
Dellandrea broke his finger on September 29th but is ready to go in the Stars season opener in Nashville. The 2018 No.13 overall pick, who had 50 points (23G / 27A) in 68 AHL games last season, is expected to skate on the second line with Tyler Seguin and Mason Marchment.
Orlov suffered a lower-body injury in last week's preseason game vs. the Red Wings, but he is healthy and ready to play in the season opener vs. Boston. Orlov is coming off of a season where he had career-highs in goals (12) and points (35) in 76 games.
Liljegren underwent hernia surgery prior to training camp and being moved to LTIR means he will miss at least 10 games or 24 days. It also provides the Maple Leafs with some much needed salary relief.
Kaut cleared waivers on Sunday and was sent to the AHL, where he had 31 points (19G / 12A) in 46 games a season ago. He appeared on track for a bottom-6 role with the Avalanche but will start the year with the Eagles.
