Dellandrea is expected to miss a couple of weeks with a broken finger.

Dellandrea broke his finger in Thursday's preseason game and is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks. Stars' head coach Pete DeBoer said that he had Dellandrea pencilled into the NHL roster, but the injury opens the door for someone else to step up.

Liljegren will miss training camp with an undisclosed injury.

Missing training camp puts Liljegren's status for the season opener in doubt and could add some pressure to the front office to get Rasmus Sandin (RFA) under contract. Liljegren played a combined 63 games with the Maple Leafs between the regular season and playoffs last season, totalling five goals and 18 assists (23 points).

The Sharks have signed C.J. Suess to a one-year contract.

Suess was a fifth-round pick in 2014 and has appeared in just four NHL games since. Three of those games came in 2022 but he spent most of the season in the AHL, where he had 14 goals and 14 assists (28 points) in 46 games. He'll likely report to the AHL to start 2022-23.

The Kraken have signed Andrew Poturalski to a two-year contract.

Poturalski led the AHL with 101 points (28G / 73A) in 71 games a season ago but only appeared in two NHL games with the Hurricanes. The 28-year-old has been great in the AHL but has yet to make a splash at the NHL-level. Given the Kraken's depth issues at forward, Poturalski could finally get a real NHL shot at some point in 2022-23.
