Price has gone 5-1-1 with a 2.00 GAA, .935 SV% and one shutout in his last seven starts and will need to stay red-hot to keep the Canadiens in the playoff hunt this week. Price has gone 0-2-0 with a 3.50 GAA and .904 SV% in two games vs. the Lightning this season.
Comrie will be making his first NHL start of the season. The 23-year-old, former second-round pick was 23-16-2 with a 2.75 GAA and .916 SV% in 45 AHL games before being called-up after Laurent Brossoit got hurt. Comrie is 2-2-0 with a 4.00 GAA and .880 SV% in four career NHL appearances.
Price gave up eight goals on 29 shots in the Canadiens blowout loss in Anaheim on Friday. Price is now 5-4-0 with a 2.82 GAA and .903 SV% in his last nine starts. Despite going through a rough patch, Price has an outstanding matchup with the Red Wings in town—he stopped 28 of 29 shots in an 8-1 win in Detroit two weeks ago.
Hajek is not expected to be in the lineup on Monday after suffering a separated shoulder vs. the Devils on Saturday. Marc Staal will likely replace him on Monday.
