Montour (shoulder) will make his season debut on Friday.

Montour missed the first 16 games of the regular season after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery. Montour will look to pick up where he left off last season, where he had career-highs in goals (16), assists (57), points (73), SOG (242), and Power-play points (33). It unclear where Montour will line-up in his first game back, but he should re-claim his spot on the top power-play unit.

If Montour can play on Friday, he will be about one week ahead of the initial recovery schedule that targeted him for an American Thanksgiving return date. Montour has yet to play this season but will look to build on an incredible breakout campaign in 2022-23. Last season, Montour scored an impressive 73 points (16G / 57A) in 80 games after only scoring 73 points (23G / 50A) in his 185 combined games prior.

Josh Mahura (lower body) has been placed on the injured reserve.

Mahura left the Panthers' game Thursday vs. Los Angeles after just six shifts and 5:04 TOI due to a lower-body and has been placed on the inured reserve Friday. The 25-year-old stay-at-home defensemen is in his second full season with the cats and has five assists, 15 SOG, eight PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 16 games prior to his injury.

Grubauer will start against the Islanders on Thursday.

Grubauer will return to the Kraken crease on Thursday after Seattle turned to Joey Daccord for each of the team's last two games. Grubauer's last start came via a 4-1 defeat to the Oilers on Saturday, when he surrendered four goals on just 17 shots before being lifted from the game in favour of Daccord. His record on the season now sits at 3-6-0 to go along with his .891 SV% and 3.31 GAA. He'll hope to get things back on track in a decent home matchup against the Islanders in a pick 'em game on Thursday.

Eberle (leg laceration) is expected to play in Edmonton on Wednesday.

Eberle has missed the last three games with a deep cut no his leg he suffered in practice. Eberle skated on the top line with Matty Beniers and Jared McCann at Wednesday's morning skate. Eberle has had a slow start to the season, scoring just one goal and three assists (four points) in 13 games.

Daccord will take over the Kraken crease for a second-straight game after losing his previous contest 5-1 to Colorado after stopping 26 of 31 shots against (.839 SV%). The 27-year-old veteran will mark a career high in appearances Wednesday as he makes his ninth of the season and is 2-2-3 with a .903 SV% and 2.89 GAA. He takes on the refuelled Edmonton Oilers, who have won two straight and are third in the NHL in shots per game (34.0) but are 24th in the NHL in goals per game (2.79).

Winterton failed to pick up a point in his short three-game showing with Seattle but had one SOG, and a -1 plus/minus while averaging only 8:12 TOI and has been reassigned to Coachella Valley (AHL) Tuesday. The 20-year-old winger returns to Coachella, where he had three goals, fie points and a +4 plus/minus in seven games before his promotion.

Shane Wright has been reassigned to Coachella Valley (AHL).

Wright failed to pick up a point in three games and had one only SOG while averaging 9:47 TOI and has been reassigned to Coachella Valley (AHL) Tuesday. The 19-year-old centre returns to the minors, where he started the season successfully with four goals and six points in seven games prior to his promotion.

Brandon Montour (shoulder) is targeting Friday as a possible return vs. Anaheim.

Montour has yet to appear this season for the Panthers' but is expected to travel with Florida on their road trip and has a possibility to return Friday vs. Anaheim. The 29-year-old is coming off a breakout season which saw him finish fifth in the NHL in scoring among defensemen with 73 points (16G/57A) in 80 games played in 2022-23.

Daccord will be the starter for the Kraken on Monday as they take on the Colorado Avalanche. The Kraken typically opt to start Philipp Grubauer against his former team, but after allowing four goals on 13 shots in the first period against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, the team will turn to Daccord. Daccord saved all nine shots he faced coming in relief of Grubauer for the final two periods on Saturday and has a 2.59 GAA and .913 SV% in seven games this season (2-1-3). The Kraken are +138 home underdogs against an Avalanche team that has lost five of their last seven games (2-5-0), being shut out three times in that span.

Eberle remains day-to-day and will miss his third-straight game after being cut near a quad muscle by a skate blade at practice last week. The 33-year-old right-winger had been off to a slow start to begin his 2023-24 season as he has one goal, three assists, 28 SOG, nine PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 13 games played. Brandon Tanev will be a game-time decision on Monday and could be an option to slot into Seattle's top six with Eberle out of the lineup.

The Kraken are +169 road underdogs on Thursday but could put up a strong fight against an Avalanche team that has been shut out in three of their last five games (2-3-0) and will be starting Ivan Prosvetov in net.

Winterton was recalled from Coachella Valley (AHL) for the first time in his career and will make his NHL debut Thursday vs. Colorado. The 20-year-old forward was Seattle's 2021 third-round pick (67th overall) and had three goals, five points, and a +4 plus/minus in seven games with Coachella Valley prior to his promotion.

With Jordan Eberle (cut by skate) day-to-day, Wright finds his way into the Kraken's lineup for the first time this season Thursday vs. Colorado after being recalled from Coachella Valley (AHL) earlier in the day. The 19-year-old made his NHL debut last season and had a goal, an assist, four SOG, two PIMs and a +4 plus/minus in eight games prior to being sent back to junior. In seven games prior to his promotion, he had four goals and six points with Coachella Valley.
