Adam Larsson has been bothered by a sore wrist and asked not to go to All-Star weekend. So he will not go.

Larsson has been playing big minutes for the Devils and is banged up because of it. The rookie has two goals and 15 points in his first 43 NHL games. Expect him to stay in the lineup after the break.

It’s been pretty clear since the start of the season that the Devils intend to keep Adam Larsson around, but general manager Lou Lamoriello confirmed the obvious today by saying that the 18-year-old defenseman will stay with the team for at least 10 NHL ganes.

In case you had an doubt, Larssen is in the lineup to stay. Feel free to play him on a nightly basis as long as he remains a top pairing defender who also plays the point on the PP.

Defenseman Adam Larsson left today’s morning sakte early, but insisted he’s “OK” to play in tonight’s game in Nashville.

Larsson is one tough customer, drawing back into the lineup despite a sore foot. Through his first three NHL games, he has no points, three blocked shots, five hits and six shots. You can expect him to play at less than 100 percent tonight.

Larsson will start the season on the top defensive pairing. Last season he only scored one goal and nine points over 37 games with Skelleftea HC of the SEL. Regardless, while manning the point on PP1, the former fourth overall pick will produce at least 20 points in his rookie season.
