St Louis Blues News

Kyrou (upper-body) took full part in warmups and is expected to play against the Panthers on Thursday.

Already without top-six forwards Robert Thomas (lower body) and Dylan Holloway (ankle), the Blues' injury woes worsened in Tuesday's game against the Dallas Stars, with Jordan Kyrou (upper body) and Jake Neighbours (lower body) both exiting the game early. Luckily for the Blues, both Kyrou and Neighbours are healthy enough to return on Thursday against the Florida Panthers. The 27-year-old Kyrou has had a disappointing season, with only 24 points (11G / 13A) through 43 games. Over his previous four seasons, Kyrou was nearly a point-per-game player, with 285 points in 317 games (0.9 PTS/GP).

McGing has been recalled from Springfield (AHL) on emergency conditions.

McGing had two points (1G / 1A) in three games with the Blues earlier this season, but has spent most of the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL. The 27-year-old forward has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 35 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL).

Holloway (ankle) has been placed on IR.

Holloway was considered day-to-day, but was placed on Injured Reserve shortly after having an MRI on his ankle sprain, leaving some confusion about when he might return to the lineup. It is an unfortunate development for the 24-year-old, who had just returned from a 15-game absence several days before this injury. In 34 games played this season, Holloway has eight goals and 17 points while being a -13 plus/minus.

Dylan Holloway
Hofer will start vs. Florida on Thursday.

Hofer has lost two straight (0-1-1), allowing six goals on 43 combined shots (.860 SV%), but has still unquestionably been the most reliable goalie for the Blues in recent weeks. The 25-year-old Hofer has an impressive 2.17 GAA and .922 SV% in his last 17 games (9-7-1). The Blues enter the action on Thursday as +142 home underdogs against a Florida Panthers team whose three-game winning streak was snapped on Tuesday in a 4-3 loss to the Utah Mammoth.

Neighbours (lower-body) will be a game-time decision vs. Florida on Thursday.

That said, the team was reassured on Thursday, with the announcement that Kyrou and Neighbours could return against the Florida Panthers. The 23-year-old Neighbours has 21 points (12G / 9A) in 41 games this season, but has struggled lately, with only one assist in his last five outings.

Jake Neighbours
Sundqvist (ankle) will be a game-time decision vs. Florida on Thursday.

Sundqvist suffered a scary injury nearly two weeks ago, a cut that narrowly missed his Achilles, which would have likely ended his season. The 31-year-old Sundqvist has missed several games, but could return as soon as Thursday against the Florida Panthers. He is averaging 13:20 time-on-ice and has 13 points (3G / 10A) in 39 games this season.

Neighbours (lower-body) is considered day-to-day after leaving Tuesday's game vs. Dallas early.

That said, the team was reassured on Wednesday morning, with the announcement that neither Kyrou nor Neighbours is expected to be out for long. The 23-year-old Neighbours has 21 points (12G / 9A) in 41 games this season, but has struggled lately, with only one assist in his last five outings.

Binnington will start vs. Dallas on Tuesday.

After a dazzling 26-save shutout in a 2-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens on January 3rd, Binnington has returned to his struggles between the pipes, posting an ugly 4.54 GAA and .830 SV% in his last four games (0-4-0). He allowed three goals on 19 shots (.842 SV%) in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars, but has typically been excellent against them in his career, posting a 2.24 GAA and .917 SV% in 17 career games (5-8-2). The Blues enter Tuesday's contest as +137 home underdogs against a Stars team that has lost four of its last six games (2-4-0).

Jordan Binnington
Finley (illness) participated in morning skate on Monday and is expected to return vs. Utah.

Finley did not play in Tampa Bay's previous game because of an illness, but should return to the lineup on Monday against the Utah Mammoth. The 23-year-old forward has three points (2G / 1A) in 18 games this season.

Jack Finley
Walker will be a healthy scratch in Dallas on Friday.

Despite picking up 34 hits in his previous eight games played, Nathan Walker will be the odd man out of the lineup with Mathieu Joseph returning from an elbow injury on Friday. The 31-year-old will hope to return to the lineup soon as he continues to chase his career high in points from last season (16) with his 11 points in 32 games this year.

Binnington will start in Dallas on Friday.

Binnington will get his 2nd start in the last five games when St. Louis heads to Dallas on Friday. The 32-year-old is slowly losing St. Louis' crease to Joel Hofer but will have another chance for redemption vs. a tough Stars team that ranks 12th in the NHL in goals this season (3.25). In 28 appearances in 2025-26, he ranks 4th worst among starters with more than 4 appearances in SV% (.869) and has an ugly 8-13-6 record to show for it.
