Vasilevsky stopped 36 of 39 shots (.923 SV%) winning his sixth game in eight starts as he beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3 in his last time out. It's been an off-year for the usually stellar 28-year-old thus far, as he has a 10-7-1 record with a .909 SV% and 2.78 GAA. He will face the Detriot Red Wings who won 4-2 over Columbus in their previous game and rank 15th in the NHL in goals per game (3.17).

McDonagh is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with an upper-body injury, so he was placed on IR to open up a roster spot for Jordan Gross to be recalled from Milwaukee (AHL). McDonagh has picked up just six assists in his first 23 games with the Predators.

Mitchell has been recalled by the Blackhawks for the second time this season after having a very productive start to the season in Rockford (AHL) where the defenseman had two goals, four assists and a +6 plus/minus through five games. He was pointless with a -4 plus/minus in his two games with Chicago earlier this season when called up the first time.

Cirelli, who is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, removed his non-contact sweater last week and could play Saturday vs. the Maple Leafs. Expect Cirelli to start to work into the mix at practice over the next few days if he's going to make his season debut on December 3rd.

Vasilevskiy allowed five goals on 29 shots (.826 SV%) as he took the loss in a shakey start vs. Boston his last time out. He has not been his usual dominant self this season as shown by his 7-6-1 record and .903 SV% along with his 3.00 GAA. He takes on the St. Louis Blues who lost 6-2 to Buffalo their last time out to snap a seven-game winning streak.

Mitchell appeared in two games during his call-up but was a healthy scratch in Dallas, with Seth Jones returning to the lineup. Mitchell returns to the AHL, where he has five points (2G / 3A) in three games this season.

Girgensons missed the Sabres' previous game due to an undisclosed injury but will return to the lineup Tuesday in place of Peyton Krebs (healthy scratch). The 28-year-old left winger has three goals and five points through 17 games this season while averaging a career-low 11:45 TOI.

Vasilevskiy finds himself on a three-game winning streak after defeating Nashville his last time out on the back of a 30 save on 32 shot (.938 SV%) performance. The NHL leader in wins the last five seasons has struggled so far in 2022-23, posting a 7-5-1 record with a .909 SV% and 2.84 GAA. He draws the tough task of taking on the league-leading Boston Bruins who carry a 16-2-0 record into the game Monday and find themselves on a six-game winning streak.
