The Senators have re-signed Scott Sabourin to a one-year, two-way contract.
Sabourin a is big, rugged forward who spent almost all of 2022 with Belleville (AHL). Sabourin had 17 points (5G / 12A) in 40 AHL games a season ago.
The Avalanche have signed Jonas Johansson to a one-year contract.
The Lightning have re-signed Erik Cernak to an eight-year deal worth $41.6 million ($5.2M AAV).
The Lightning have signed Anthony Cirelli to an eight-year deal worth $50.0 million ($6.25M AAV).
The Canucks have signed Ilya Mikheyev to a four-year contract worth $19.0 million ($4.75M AAV).
The Maple Leafs have signed Dennis Hildeby to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Hildeby was selected in the fourth round (No.122 overall) in last week's NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old netminder was 3-2-0 with a 1.93 GAA and .930 SV% in nine games with Farjestads BK Karlstad (SHL) last season.
The Predators have acquired Ryan McDonagh from the Lightning for Philippe Myers and Grant Mismash.
McDonagh has four years left on his seven-year deal that carries a $6.75M AAV cap-hit. The Lightning recently approached McDonagh to waive his no-trade clause in an effort to clear some cap-space. The Lightning have two key UFA's in Ondrej Palat and Jan Rutta and this trade could help get both of them under contract. In Nashville, McDonagh joins Roman Josi, and Mattias Ekholm as the Predators' new big-3.

However, the Lightning said he should be day-to-day after that, so it looks like he avoided serious injury. The Lightning are expected to do some serious line shuffling with Point out and could go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen.
