Woll will start against the Coyotes on Thursday.

Woll has not played since December 7th due to an ankle injury. After participating in practice the last three weeks and joining the Marlies (AHL) for a conditioning stint, he will make his return to the Maple Leafs' crease on Thursday night. He will be looking to build off his strong start to the season and add to his 8-5-1 record, 2.80 GAA, and .916 SV%. The Maple Leafs enter action as significant -242 home favourites against an Arizona Coyotes club riding a 13-game losing streak.

Tanev will not make his debut on Thursday vs. Winnipeg.

The Stars acquired Tanev on Wednesday by giving up a 2024 second-round pick, a 2026 fourth-round pick, Artem Grushnikov and a conditional 2026 third-round pick to acquire Tanev. The Flames retained 50 percent of Tanev's $4.5M AAV cap hit, while the Devils retained 25 percent. Tanev is a rugged defenseman, who has racked up 171 blocked shots this season to go along with one goal and 13 assists (14 points) in 56 games. He should bring plenty of stability to the Stars' second pairing.
