Chytil will miss 4-to-6 weeks with an upper-body injury.

Chytil was hurt on a blindside hit from Evan Rodrigues in Sunday's game in Pittsburgh and will miss at least one month with an upper-body injury. A one-month absence means that Chytil will miss at least the next 14 games and that Brett Howden should get increased usage starting on Tuesday.

Demko will start Monday vs. the Senators.

Demko gave up seven goals on 42 shots in the Canucks loss to Montreal last Thursday. It was another terrible outing for Demko, who has given up at least four goals in each of his first three starts this season. Overall, he has a putrid 5.47 GAA and .866 SV% which accompanies an 0-3-0 record. On Monday, he'll face a Senators team that has lost four in a row while averaging 2.25 goals per game.

Chytil has returned to New York to be re-evaluated; will not play on Tuesday.

Chytil was forced to leave Saturday's game in Pittsburgh after being hit by Evan Rodrigues. This is a tough break for Chytil, who has had a terrific start to the season, scoring two goals with one assist in his last four games. With Chytil out on Tuesday, Brett Howden will likely take on a larger role vs. the Sabres.

Pettersson is out week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

Pettersson left Tuesday's game vs. Washington with an upper-body injury that he suffered on a hit from T.J. Oshie. With Pettersson out week-to-week, Cody Ceci will likely draw back into the lineup for Pittsburgh on Friday. If he misses two weeks, he'll miss roughly seven or eight games.

Demko led the Canucks onto the ice for warmups.

Braden Holtby was in the starter’s crease at the morning skate but Demko was the first one off, so it looks like they will continue to rotate goalies to open the season. Demko gave up five goals on 45 shots in a loss in Edmonton in his first start of the season and draws another tough assignment tonight in Calgary. The Flames have scored three goals in each of their first two games, including a 3-0 win vs. Holtby and Vancouver on Saturday.
