Ferland has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but is set to play Friday in Columbus. Ferland, who has 17 goals and 18 assists (35 points) in 58 games this season, will skate on the third line with Lucas Wallmark and Jordan Martinook.

Kane will miss his seventh straight game but the Sharks are hopeful that he will be back on Saturday. Gustav Nyquist is expected to remain in the top-6 with Kane out.

Ferland remains day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will miss his second straight game. Andrei Svechnikov will remain in the Hurricanes top-6 with Ferland sidelined.



DeBrusk will not play Saturday vs. the Senators and will likely miss Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh as well. Lee Stempniak was recalled from Providence (AHL) and is expected to play in DeBrusk’s usual spot with David Krejci.


Ferland was banged up in Boston on Tuesday, missed practice on Thursday but remains a game-time decision on Friday. Despite the questionable label, head coach Rod Brind’Amour said he thinks he will be “good to go.” Ferland has three goals and four assists (seven points) in his last 13 games.


Kane took part in Wednesday’s practice but will not be available for the third consecutive game due to an upper-body injury that he suffered in Boston. Kane remains day-to-day and seems like he will be available for Saturday’s game vs. St. Louis.

Kane has missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury and remains questionable to play Thursday despite skating on Wednesday. Kane did skate with Tomas Hertl and Gustav Nyqust in practice, which suggests there’s a chance that he plays vs. the Canadiens.

Brisebois has spent most of the season with Utica, where he has three goals and eight assists in 49 games on their blueline. The 21-year-old could play his third career game on Wednesday with Ben Hutton battling a foot injury.
