Chytil has no recorded a point and is a minus-1 in each of his last three games and will be replaced by the newly acquired Brendan Lemieux on Wednesday.

Karlsson, 19, was a third-round pick (No.87 overall) in last summer’s draft. Karlsson has four goals and 13 assists (17 points) with Karlskrona HK in Sweden.


Hronek has split his 2019 season between the AHL and NHL, amassing 10 points (3G / 7A) in 23 games with the Red Wings and 23 points (7G / 16A) in 28 games with the Griffins. Hronek has the look of a future star in Detroit but it remains to be seen if he will be in the lineup on Saturday afternoon.



Demko was dinged up in warmups on Tuesday and will miss at least 10 days with a minor sprain. Look for the Canucks to continue to lean on Jacob Markstrom while Demko is sidelined.

Demko, who likely would have been in-line to start Tuesday’s game, tweaked something in warmups on Monday and will not be available for Tuesday’s contest. Mikey DiPietro will join the Canucks in Washington to serve as Jacob Markstrom’s backup.


Blueger, 24, was a second-round pick (No.52 overall) in 2012 and could make his NHL debut on Wednesday after 179 career games in the AHL. Blueger leads Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in points, scoring 21 goals with 18 assists (39 points) in 45 games.


Ferland tweaked his upper-body injury in Calgary on Tuesday and is a question mark for Wednesday’s game. If he can’t play, Haydn Fleury will dress as the Hurricanes’ seventh defensemen.

Ferland missed Sunday’s game in Edmonton but will face his former team tonight in Calgary. Ferland comes in having scored two goals with six assists (eight points) in his last nine games. Look for Ferland to skate with Lucas Wallmark and Teuvo Teravainen.

Ferland was listed as questionable coming into Sunday's game but took part in warmups before being scratched just prior to puck-drop.

Pettersson has missed the last five games with a knee issue but will return to the lineup vs. the Red Wings on Sunday afternoon. Pettersson has had a sensational rookie season, scoring 22 goals with 20 assists (42 points) in 38 games.

Demko will be making his season debut after serving as Jacob Markstrom’s backup for a couple of weeks. Demko is one of the top goaltending prospects in the NHL and went 8-5-0 with a 2.58 GAA and .911 SV% in 16 games before being promoted to the NHL. He allowed four goals on 30 shots in a 5-4 OT win vs. the Blue Jackets in his NHL debut last year.

Pettersson took part in the Canucks morning skate and is close to returning to the lineup but will miss his fourth straight game tonight. Pettersson said he’s “feeling better every day” and hopes to play on Friday.
