Thompson was the first goalie off of the ice at the Golden Knights morning skate.

Thompson stopped 31 of 35 shots (.886 SV%) his last time out vs. Buffalo to pick up his sixth straight victory. The 25-year-old rookie has been incredible so far this season, posting an 8-2-0 record along with a 2.32 GAA and .925 SV%. He takes on the San Jose Sharks who have won two straight but rank 25th in the NHL in goals per game (2.71).

Brandon Duhaime will draw back into the Minnesota Wild lineup Tuesday.

Duhaime has not played since Nov. 1 due to being a healthy scratch but will draw back into the Wild's lineup Tuesday as they take on the Nashville Predators. The 25-year-old bruiser has been solid in his first ten games, picking up two goals and three points while also having 18 SOG and 14 PIMs while averaging only 9:01 ATOI.

Thompson stopped 28 of 31 shots (.903 SV%) to pick up his fifth straight win in a 4-3 victory over Toronto his last game. He has been making a strong Calder Trophy push this season with his 7-2-0 record, .930 SV% and .212 GAA. He's taking not he Buffalo Sabres, who have lost their last three games but rank 2nd in the NHL in goals for per game (3.85).

Lindgren allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Capitals overtime loss to the Golden Knights last Tuesday. Lindgren has been solid this season, posting a .919 SV%, but has allowed three goals in all three starts. On Monday, he should be left on the waiver wire with a matchup vs. the Oilers and the Capitals without John Carlson Dmitry Orlov.

Lindgren has been solid this season, posting a .919 SV%, but has allowed three goals in all three starts. On Monday, he should be left on the waiver wire with a matchup vs. the Oilers and the Capitals without John Carlson and potentially Dmitry Orlov (game-time decision).

Brandon Duhaime will miss Thursday's game due to an upper-body injury

Duhaime is set to miss at least Thursday and next Tuesday's game in LA after leaving the Wilds' game Wednesday due to an upper-body injury. He was only able to play 4:46 TOI prior to heading off with an injury. In 10 games so far this season, the 25-year-old has three points (2G/1A) and 18 SOG.

Sonny Milano has been called up from Hershey (AHL)

Milano had a breakout season with Anaheim in 2021-22, scoring 14 goals and 34 points across 66 games. He started this season in Hershey (AHL) after getting cut from Calgary off a PTO and signing with Washington days later. It will be his third NHL team when he takes the ice for Washington's next game he is dressed.

Timothy Liljegren will make his season debut Saturday vs. Boston

Head Coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed Wednesday that the plan is for Timothy Liljegran to make his debut Saturday after missing the early part of the season due to hernia surgery. The Maple Leafs will gladly welcome back their 2017 1st round pick (17th overall) who has picked up five goals, 24 points and a +11 plus/minus across 74 career games played across the last three seasons.

Charlie Lindgren will start Tuesday vs. Vegas

Lindgren stood on his head in his last start, stopping 38 of 41 shots (.927 SV%) in a 6-3 win vs. New Jersey. Washington's backup has been solid in his two games played this season with a 3.08 GAA and .925 SV%. He plays Vegas who has won four straight games allowing only four goals across those games.

Logan Thompson will start vs. Washington

Thompson was perfect his last time out, collecting his NHL-leading second shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over Anaheim Friday. Thompson has been incredible as he continues his strong Calder campaign, amassing a 4-2-0 record to go along with his .943 SV% (5th in NHL) and 1.69 GAA (4th). He takes on a Capitals team who lost the first game of their current back-to-back yesterday, in a 3-2 shootout to Carolina.

Jakob Chychrun (wrist) is still week-to-week after facing a recovery setback

Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong confirmed Thursday that Jakob Chychrun has experienced a setback in his recovery from a wrist injury that has kept him out all season. Chychrun is coming off an injury-shortened 2021-22 where he had 21 points (7G/14A) in 57 games with 141 SOG and a -20 plus/minus.

Thompson stopped 22 of 25 shots in his second straight losing effort Saturday as he was knocked off by the Colorado Avalanche 3-2. The rookie has enjoyed a strong season so far with a .926 SV%, 2.30 GAA and one shutout on the year. His Golden Knights will host the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday who are coming off two straight victories and will be looking to improve on their 21st-best GF/GP (3.0) across the NHL.

Lindgren's last start came five games ago as he lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 in a 36-save (.923 SV%) losing effort. He will man the crease for a Capitals squad that has won three of their last four outings. They take on the surging New Jersey Devils, who have won three straight games while allowing an average of 1.33 GA during the wins.
