Holl missed Saturday's game due to illness but was back on the ice for Monday's morning skate and is expected to replace Timothy Liljegren in the lineup vs. New York. Holl has a minus-3 rating, one shot, eight blocks and three hits sin 20:38 ATOI in his first two games of the season.

With Justin Holl out, Liljegren will make his season debut vs. the Senators. The 22-year-old, former first-round pick, Liljegren has one assist in 13 career NHL games.

The Maple Leafs have not received his COVID test back yet, but Holl is not well enough to play Saturday regardless. Timothy Liljegren will replace Holl in the lineup vs. Ottawa.
