Fleury left Saturday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Fleury departed Saturday's game after taking a shot off the "side of the kneecap" according to head coach Scott Arniel. The Jets depth will be tested if Fleury is unavailable on Monday because they're already without Dylan Samberg.

Hellebuyck will start against the Stars on Thursday.

Coming off another stellar season, winning his third Vezina trophy in the last six seasons, posting an outstanding 2.00 GAA, .925SV%, and eight shutouts in 63 outings (47-12-3), Hellebuyck will tend the twine in Winnipeg's season opener against the Dallas Stars. Hellebuyck and the Jets were eliminated by the Stars in the second round of the playoffs and will hope to enact some revenge with a victory on Thursday. Winnipeg enters the contest as slight -101 home underdogs against Dallas.

Toews (undisclosed) will make his Jets' debut in Winnipeg's opener on Thursday vs. Dallas.

Toews "tweaked something" in a preseason contest against the Minnesota Wild last Tuesday, but will be ready to suit up for Thursday's contest against the Dallas Stars. After missing the entirety of the previous two seasons, recovering from injuries, Toews signed in the offseason with his hometown team. The veteran forward scored 31 points (15G / 16A) in 53 games in his most recent season in 2022-23.

Skinner will start Edmonton's season opener vs. Calgary on Wednesday.

Coming off a forgetful 2024-25 season where he posted a 2.81 GAA and .896 SV% in 51 outings (26-18-4), Skinner will hope to return to the form that made him a top-15 netminder in his previous two seasons. The Oilers are expected to have one of the NHL's best offenses again in 2025-26, which should allow Skinner to accumulate plenty of victories. The 26-year-old netminder will be between the pipes in Edmonton's season opener on Wednesday, entering the contest as sizable -214 home favorites against the Calgary Flames.

Winnipeg has signed Kyle Connor to an eight-year extension worth $12 million AAV ($96M total).

Heading into their season-opening matchup on Thursday against the Dallas Stars, the Winnipeg Jets announced their most lucrative contract in franchise history, signing Kyle Connor to a massive eight-year extension worth $96 million ($12 million AAV). The 28-year-old Connor was Winnipeg's seventh overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and has consistently been one of the NHL's most consistent scorers since his rookie season in 2017-18. Connor scored a career-high 97 points (41G / 56A) in 82 games last season and will be relied upon again in 2025-26 to spearhead Winnipeg's offence.

Lowry underwent hip surgery earlier in the offseason with a five-to-six month recovery timeline. The 32-year-old Lowry is likely still several weeks away from his 2025-26 season debut after putting up 16 goals, 34 points and a +18 plus/minus in 73 games played in 2024-25.

With Perfetti out to open the season, that opens a door in the Jets' top-6 and on the top power-play unit. Alex Iafallo is currently set to line up on the Jets' top powerplay unit.
