The Jets will get Tucker Poolman back on Thursday and dress seven defensemen and 11 forwards, so Vesalainen will sit after playing in four straight games.

Gustafsson was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Jansen Harkins in the lineup on Thursday. Harkins is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Gustafsson has just one goal and no assists in 25 career NHL games.

Vesalainen made his season debut vs. the Senators on January 23rd but was not in the lineup for the last three games. On Monday, he is expected to replace David Gustafsson in the Jets lineup and skate on the fourth line.

Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Jets loss to the Canucks on Saturday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Hellebuyck, who is 4-2-0 with a 2.67 GAA and .910 SV% in his first six starts of the season. Winnipeg has struggled defensively early-on, leading to some un-Hellebuyck-like numbers so far. Tonight he faces a Calgary team that is .500 (3-3-1) and in the middle of the pack in goal-scoring (2.86 - 18th) through seven games.

Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 21 shots but it was enough to be the Senators last Saturday. Hellebuyck has picked up where he left off in 2020, opening the season at 3-1-0 with a 2.25 GAA and .920 SV% through four games. On Tuesday he'll face a high-powered Oilers offence, who he was 2-1-0 with a 1.65 GAA, .943 SV% and one shutout against in 2020.

DeMelo has missed the first four games of the season to be with his wife for the birth of their child but is expected to make his season debut when the Jets return home on Saturday.

Hellebuyck stopped 35 of 37 shots in the Jets loss in Toronto on Monday. Hellebuyck stood tall but the offence fell flat, leading to his first loss of the 2021 campaign. Hellebuyck has been strong early on, stopping 58 of the 63 shots (.921 SV%) that he's faced and is a must-start with a great matchup tonight in Ottawa.
